Santa Maria Wisdom Center

Santa Maria Wisdom Center Our goal is to help ensure that you and your loved ones continue to have a content and more fulfilling life through every stage of life's journey.

We are a team of experienced and dedicated healthcare professionals, committed to helping your or your loved one stay healthy so they can continue to live happily at home and not need placement in a nursing home or hospital. Our integrated team includes an RN, LVN, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist and an Activities specialist. During the COVID-19 crisis, we have been providing freshly prepared meals delivered to our members' door, and daily/weekly contact with our nursing or social work staff, activities packet, and a virtual program designed for all cognitive abilities. Check out our sample calendar for more information. We are continuing these services at this time, for those who cannot come to the center. Services are free to eligible CenCal members and Veterans. We also offer a private pay option for those who would like our full-range of services, and those who would just like meals delivered.

Grateful for today’s Breakfast with the President at

We had the opportunity to hear from Sue Andersen, President & CEO, who shared how Marian continues to honor its promise to the community by staying at the forefront of health care innovation.

We also learned more about Marian’s electrophysiology program from Brett Gidney, MD.

A great reminder of what’s possible when leadership, innovation, and community come together.

The Wisdom Center’s CalAIM Team was proud to support the Point-in-Time (PIT) Count, a critical community effort that helps inform funding, services, and solutions for people experiencing homelessness.

Our team contributed in multiple ways, from staffing a Logistics Center to supporting field outreach in Atascadero & Morro Bay working alongside partners to ensure the count was carried out with care, coordination, and respect.

The PIT Count plays an important role in helping communities better understand need and direct resources where they are most needed. At the heart of this work is a shared commitment to ensuring people experiencing homelessness are seen, counted, and treated with dignity.

Every role matters. Every person counts.

Yesterday we joined community partners from across the Central Coast for the Human Trafficking Central Coast (HTCC) Awareness Forum, hosted by the Rotary Club of South Santa Maria.

This forum brought together survivors, advocates, healthcare providers, law enforcement, and service organizations to share knowledge, lived experience, and resources focused on prevention, support, and healing. From funding and local initiatives to survivor-centered care and support services, the conversations throughout the day were powerful, honest, and deeply needed.

Human trafficking is happening in our communities, and awareness is one of the most important tools we have. Events like this remind us that collaboration, education, and trauma-informed support are essential in creating real change.

We’re grateful to the organizers, speakers, and community partners who continue to show up, speak up, and work together to support survivors and strengthen our region.

Today, we honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his enduring call for justice, dignity, and care for one another.

His legacy continues to guide the way we show up in our communities: with intention, compassion, and a deep commitment to service.

Yesterday, our team had the privilege of joining community partners and neighbors at the MLK Celebration at Allan Hancock College. Coming together in reflection and unity, we were reminded of this year’s theme, The Fierce Urgency of Now, and the responsibility we all share to turn values into action.

We are grateful to be part of a community that honors the past while continuing to build a more just and connected future, together.

💚✊🏽
