Nordic Body Malin is the CEO & Founder of Nordic Body - a walking & fitness club for the 50+ crowd. The first 1-mile walking loop opened in Santa Monica on June 29, 2019.

Whether she works out Jane Fonda or people that have never worked out – her mission is the same: to strengthen the body & mind to age with confidence. Originally from Sweden, Malin Svensson came to Los Angeles in 1989 with a master’s degree in Physical Education and became certified by NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) in 2000. A former nationally ranked runner with over 30 years of experience in the fitness industry, Malin is the CEO & Founder of Nordic Body - a walking and fitness club committed to inspiring the 50+ crowd to live a fun, healthy, and fulfilling life by providing 360-degree support from online to live programs including holistic fitness retreats, private sessions, workshops, and community classes. Malin is also an International Fitness Coach/Author/Speaker and her third published book “WAKE UP Your Body + Mind After 50!” launched on November 17, 2020. Whether she works out fitness guru Jane Fonda or people that have never worked out a day in their lives – her mission is the same: to strengthen the body and mind to age with confidence. Malin has been featured as a walking and fitness expert in several media outlets like CBS Los Angeles, LA Times, The NY Times, The Wall Street Journal, and Fitness magazine. She brought Nordic Walking to North America in 2002 and is one of the leading authorities in Nordic Walking worldwide. Her passion for making a difference in people’s wellbeing is further expressed by her organization Adopt-A-Walk.

Happy 88th Birthday to my incredible client and dear friend, 🎉 What a milestone—and what a woman.

Jane is living proof that aging can be powerful, vibrant, and strong. She’s stronger now than she was 10 years ago—and this is exactly why we work out: so we can live fun, healthy, fulfilling lives well into our 80s, 90s, and beyond.

And yes… I also “train” Jane to decorate her Christmas tree 🤣
Joking aside, this Wonder Woman climbs a ladder every year to meticulously decorate it. Do you know what that takes? Core strength, leg strength, arm strength, flexibility, balance—and a whole lot of confidence.

Do I encourage it? Absolutely not.
Have I witnessed it? Yes.
Do I hold my breath the entire time? Also yes.

Nothing stops this daredevil. She is unstoppable—and I am endlessly impressed, inspired, and proud. 💪✨

In this episode I'm talking with a very fascinating friend of mine - Dr. Marcy Cole, a Holistic Psychotherapist. For over three decades , she has guided people, as they navigate life’s changes, challenges, and callings... supporting adolescents, adults, and couples through an integrative approach that nurtures their mind, body, and spirit.

We talk about finding love later in life and how she and her new love had a nomadic year of traveling around the US and Europe visiting friends, new and old ones. She truly lives in the moment and trusts her instincts. It's pretty fascinating at age 60ish to just make space for a year of traveling and then move three states away to be with her loved one. However, they are back to traveling and will now together find a place to live. Talking about following your instincts and staying true to you, which is her motto in life.

Marcy’s writings have been featured in Goop, Maria Shriver’s Sunday Paper, Thrive Global, and HuffPost. She is also the co-author of two best-selling anthologies on female empowerment and the founder of a robust heart-centered community called First Tuesday Global -producing life enrichment virtual events that educate, inspire, and foster connectivity.
