Spread the word about Topical Steroid Withdrawal (TSW) and the symptoms of redness and burning after topical steroid use, not just thinning skin, like most of us were taught in med school. And if you absolutely need topical steroids, remember to use the smallest amount for the shortest amount of time possible to prevent side effects. Summary of the latest recos from the LA health Dept:
1. deep shortage in testing supplies so only the sickest people should be tested rather than testing mild cases that can otherwise be managed at home
2. specific guidelines on home quarantining if you have any cold/flu symptoms or have had close contact with someone with viral symptoms (even if you don't have symptoms now, can take 2-14 days for symptoms to come on)
3. if you have cold/flu symptoms, just assume it's COVID-19 and home quarantine for 7 days minimum, or 3 days after all symptoms including fever and cough have resolved, whichever is longer

An excellent summary about what we know right now about Covid-19 to help prepare but avoid the hysteria. The stats so far are good for kids and healthy people, we need to watch our elders closely and those with underlying health issues. I love the nasal spray and use it daily in my office to keep myself from getting all the colds and flus I see in the office. Eat a simple healthy diet, get enough sleep, wash hands and take some extra immune and antioxidant support. And take a break from the media for a few days if it’s stressing you out- that will lower your immune system fast!
