Professional Profile
From 2006-2010, I worked both as a private practitioner and a massage therapist in several renowned massage and rehabilitation centers in Siberia, including the Dikulia Center for Rehabilitation in Irkutsk and the Institute for Eastern Medicine in Ulan-Ude. At the Dikulia Center for Rehabilitation in Irkutsk, I worked with patients with back trauma and diseases. My patients' cases ranged from simple neck and back strain to seriously debilitating back and spinal cord diseases and injuries. Often, patients came to me after their physician prescribed massage as a way to heal their ailments. At the Institute for Eastern Medicine in Ulan-Ude, center for Tibetan medical treatment in Siberia, I worked as a massage therapist in the Institute's clinic. This clinic offers an array of Tibetan and Eastern remedies, including herbal medicine, restorative massage, healing baths, herbal treatments and acupuncture. Throughout my career as a massage therapist, I have always strived to learn new techniques and approaches. I have earned several professional certificates including: medical massage, deep tissue, connective tissue therapy, Chinese acupressure, lymphatic massage, stone therapy, horme (a Tibetan technique), massage for weight loss, and many others. I trained a thousand hours for the New York State exam at the Finger Lakes School of Massage and am credentialed with the license to practice massage in New York State and California.
