RAW AND HONEST:
So when we talk about healthy living, we all start at different places, right? I know I started down a very dark road as an adult. My mantra was work hard, party hard... and you can tell, photo on the left, thru the inflammation. I was holding on to so much.
Anger for the life I thought had chosen me.
Bitterness for what felt like a continuous struggle to do ANYTHING I truly wanted in life.
My continual aches and pains for the repetitive nature of all my jobs. (I was going to beauty school full time, and worked two other serving / bartending jobs to make ends meet).
I wasn't sleeping well.
I drank.
I smoked.
I sometimes wouldn't eat a real meal for days at a time.
I was resentful towards anyone who I thought had it better than me.
What I didn't realize then was that I have control!
It all started with my mindset.
After all, how can we expect anything to change if we don't change anything, right?
A year later, I uprooted my life and moved from Indianapolis to Los Angeles. And it was here that Arbonne found me.
The products (and the lifestyle) became the springboard.
My awareness of how my body reacted to certain foods, ingredients, lotions, soaps. When I took a step back, it wasn't only the products I was consuming. It was so much more.
The TV.
The conversations I was having (with people & myself).
how active I was,
how much I liked my job,
the people I worked with,
how much sleep I got,
the quality of sleep I got,
how I felt about my home life.
MY first step was nutrition. Once I realized what it felt like to FEEL BETTER, not only in my body, but also in my head:
It gave me the headspace for personal growth;
the work I needed to do so I could become the person who is capable of the goals I so longed to do.
I attribute my lifestyle changes to being a part of this community, and I'm so proud it's led me here with you.
Sometimes, all you have to do is be ready to make one change.
One at a time.
I urge you to comment below, if this resonates.
You're not alone. It's not hopeless. It doesn't have to be an overhaul of your life.
If this tugs at your heart because you know...you're ready to change SOMETHING, please share.
