How is chronic pelvic pain treated? 💭

Chronic pelvic pain doesn’t always respond well to medications, and for many patients, being told that surgery is the “next step” can feel overwhelming.

Before considering invasive options, it’s worth knowing that advanced, nerve-targeting treatments may help. At Source Healthcare, physicians offer interventional therapies such as dorsal root ganglion (DRG) stimulation to address pain at its source.

DRGs are small clusters of sensory nerves located just outside the spinal cord. Each cluster serves a specific area of the body, including the pelvic region. DRG stimulation uses mild electrical impulses to block pain signals within these nerve clusters, helping provide relief across a broader, targeted area.

Depending on your condition, other options like nerve blocks or spinal cord stimulation may also be considered as part of a personalized treatment plan.

If chronic pelvic pain is impacting your daily life and conservative treatments haven’t helped, click the link below to schedule a consultation to see if interventional therapies are right for you.

Did you know? 💭

Unlike typical musculoskeletal pain, neuropathic pain may feel like:

👉 Burning or Electric‑Like Sensations
👉 Tingling or Numbness
👉 Sharp, Shooting Pain
👉 Pain From Stimuli That Shouldn’t Be Painful

This type of pain often arises from nerve irritation or damage and can be triggered by conditions such as diabetes, nerve compression, trauma, or viral nerve injury.

At Source Healthcare, we take a targeted approach to neuropathic pain by identifying the source of nerve dysfunction and tailoring treatment plans that may include nerve‑modulating therapy, interventional procedures, medication management, and rehabilitative strategies.

Because treating nerve pain isn’t about masking symptoms, it’s about addressing what’s sending the wrong signals in the first place.

If burning, tingling, or electric‑like pain has been affecting your daily life, a comprehensive evaluation can help clarify the cause and guide the appropriate treatment. Click the link below to book!
