Wise & Healthy Aging Wise & Healthy Aging has been serving older adults, their families & caregivers for over 50 years.

WISE & Healthy Aging is the result of a 2007 merge between WISE Senior Services and Center for Healthy Aging (formerly Senior Health & Peer Counseling). Each organization served the community for more than three decades, earning national reputations for innovative and effective programs and services. Today, WISE & Healthy Aging acts as the as the trusted source and voice between senior adults and services available to seniors in Los Angeles County.

Sharing some photos from the first of our two “That's So Santa Monica” events last month, a writing workshop with Lisa Doctor, an award-nominated writer, writing coach, and creative writing instructor.

These workshops welcomed older adults and all Santa Monicans to connect, celebrate community, and showcase the city’s vibrant spirit.

This project was made possible in part with 150th Anniversary Microgrant support from the City of Santa Monica Cultural Affairs.

Once again, local restauranteur Fred Deni teamed up with Wise & Healthy Aging to host his annual Thanksgiving meal for seniors and their families at Back on the Beach Café, a landmark in the City of Santa Monica.

For 46 years, Fred has hosted the Thanksgiving meal for those in need in Santa Monica, donating all the food and enlisting staff and volunteers to help prepare and serve the traditional meal. This year, Santa Monica City Council Member Barry Snell was on hand to help draw the winning raffle tickets and celebrate the holiday with everyone attending.

We are so appreciative to Fred for his continued generosity and commitment to making this day special for older adults and their families.
