I often get asked what benefits you get from all the myofascial MFS I do?
Firstly I do more MFS due to being congenital tight, as a result I get to reap the rewards and benefits from increased ROM and mobility to increased fluid dynamics from doing more MFS based on my specific needs.

Working on your weak link/s allows you to reap the long term rewards.

Looking forward to MFS course in Auckland in May DTC

It is in your best interests to get an assessment first, then an appropriate program to enhance your base level of fitness, before adding HITT.

Working smarter will get you to your goal much faster.

HITT when your body’s not ready for it, smashing it every workout won’t get you the benefits you’re looking for.

Yes you may get a shot of epinephrine making you feel good, but if your body is ineffective at getting rid of the metabolic waste after strenuous exercise you will do more damage than good.

Training to your max every workout will slow down your metabolic adaptation.

A simple but effective test is to check your morning resting heart rate, if it continues to go up you know there is a possibility that you’re over training, or can’t adapt to the stress you’re putting on your systems.

There are many ways of consistently testing your recovery, such as Oura or Whoop (not an ad).

There are plenty of Somatrainers and SomaTherpists out there to coach you, saving you time.

It’s important that you have a base first (that may take 3-4 weeks ) then you dose it appropriately with progressive overload. You will be surprised how much progress you’ll get.

A new study hints that excessive HIIT may harm your mitochondria, the energy generators found in every cell of your body.
