❤️‍🩹 DAY 9 (and part 2)
✌🏼 PEACE BE WITH YOU 🌸

“The Force is strong within you. To answer power with power, the Jedi way this is not. In this war, a danger there is, of losing who we are.” ~ Yoda

🧘‍♀️🕊 🧘🏽‍♂️ 🕊 🧘🏼‍♀️ 🕊 🧘🏿‍♀️ 🕊 🧘🏿 🕊 🧘🏼‍♂️ 🕊 🧘🏽 🕊 🧘🏼
☮️ TAKE A BREATH, AND A MOMENT FOR PEACE.☮️
STOP everything you are doing, or are preoccupied with, and turn within.

Find in your heart the energy of loving kindness, gentleness and compassion and reside there for a few moments.

And if something else is (also) present, be lovingly with that.

Let the balm of your love melt walls of separation and againstness.

Let the light of loving kindness soothe your soul.

Breathe and allow your being to be bathed by the Divine Grace that is always present, waiting for us to recognize it.

Relax into the gentle, nurturing arms of that grace, and allow it to open you to it’s healing presence.

Take a few moments just to be with it, with yourself and allow calm and tranquility to flow through you and into the space all around you; like a pure, crystal-clear and still lake.

Breathe in the energy of peace, love, and kindness.
Breathe out forgiveness, tenderness, and harmony.

If you feel moved to do so, as you take a long, deep, SLOW inhale, mentally say/chant the seed mantra / syllable sound:
“MA” (extending the “m” and “a”; “MMMMAAAAAHHHH”)

And as you exhale gently and slowly, mentally say/chant the seed mantra / syllable sound “OM” (extending the “o” and “m”; “OHHHHMMMMMMM”.

If you don’t resonate with these seed mantras, or in addition to meditation on the sound “MA” and “OM”, simply connect with the energy and presence of Divine LOVE.

Breathe Divine LOVE deep into the heart of you, into the heart of Mother Earth, and into the hearts of all living beings.

Then open to and become a channel for Divine LIGHT.

Breathe out Divine LIGHT, into yourself, into the space around you, and let it shine through you into the world, the galaxies, and beyond. You don’t have to “do” it. Simply allow it to “be done”; to shine through you.

When you are feeling truly peaceful, imagine a clear, cobalt blue light streaming from the heart of the infinite, the Portal Of Grace through you, and mentally direct it toward anyone or anything, any location you want to send peace to.

Focus on seeing this powerful stream of clear, cobalt blue light bathing that person, place, or thing in. (It can also be a situation.)

See it bathing the Earth; the air, trees, mountains, valleys, all the bodies of water turning a rich, deep cobalt blue light.

See it bathing all of the animals and humans, particularly personalities that are engaged in war; those initiation and those fighting it, as well as to anyone that may be ill at ease right now; scared, frail, or suffering.

Include the aggressors, because even and especially anyone that is screaming, fighting, or acting out, is also and almost assuredly suffering. Flow compassion and forgiveness to them, and to yourself for any part of your consciousness that engages in fighting (which is ultimately a reaction to fear).

Imagine those aspects of you and those aspects in others held and cradled by Divine LOVE as you breathe in “MA” and/or Divine LOVE and exhale Divine LIGHT.

If you do this meditation or a prayer for peace everyday whenever you can, and make choices in your life that lead to inner peace and harmony, you will be contributing more to peace on Earth than any petition. Not that petitions don’t have their place, but our own peacefulness, compassion and kindness starting towards our selves, does more for peace in the world than almost anything else.

That’s what I’ve been doing and that’s what I do daily, especially when I’m aware of a conflict in the world within or around me; however small.
Peace without begins within.

💌
Several years ago there were fires burning in Los Angeles, and Malibu and one of my favorite, sacred places to hike into and meditate was savaged and burnt to the ground. Vising that sacred site, I was at first devastated by the scorched land, the many friends of trees I often hugged that were either no longer there, or stood in marred silence, without life in their veins. But a glimmer of life grabbed my attention and I saw the new beginnings of life begin to emerge, as natures regenerative presence reminded me that life was still present and hiding under the Earth, in fact, the minerals from the fire, made the soil more abundant.

Today there are fires in the Ukraine. Fires caused by weapons of destruction, not by nature. There are fires that will one day die down, and the phoenix will rise again from the ashes, and new life will again blossom. For that is the vision I am holding, along with sending Divine Protection for the people of Ukraine, for the least harm possible.

On a daily basis I have been sending peace to the Ukraine, to Russia, to Russian and Ukrainian, and all soldiers, and deep into the hearts and minds of all the leaders in the world, as well as into my own heart and mind, (because peace starts from within). If we are peaceful, the energy, presence, and vibration of peace echo in, through, and around us; they reflect in our world.

Hurt people hurt people. Unresourced, wounded people make rash, unreasonable, and often damaging decisions. Damaging decisions that impact not just themselves but also others, impact not only others, but also themselves, and create karmic ties that can take lifetimes to resolve.

Looking at the last two years, there has been a lot of desimination of diverse perspectives. Many have fought for their own vehemently and sometimes violently. Long-time friends and close-knit family members have “unfriended” each other, and not just on Facebook. People have exchanged hostile words, held hostile thoughts about one another, and felt the distance grow, the weight of judgments crushing hearts on both side. These energies start the embers that lead to war; to out of control fires and invasive negative thinking in the collective unconscious.

If we want a peaceful world, we need to BE PEACE first.
This doesn’t mean we cannot express our hurt, rage, or frustrations. It just means we choose to HEAL what leads to our experience of those e-motions; those energies in motion, and seek to do our best to heal, support and nurture the healing of those energies in ourselves and in others.

MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU!

P.S.
Someone recently shared that if you want to send funds directly to people who are helping refuges in the Ukraine, one sure and quick way to do so is to book an Airbnb in Kiev (for example), (as suggested by someone) or in Poland (who are housing hundreds of refugees). Make sure that the AirBnB is managed by a person and not by a company, and let them know you will NOT be coming but that you intend it to be of help and support to the Ukrainian citizens.

Bookings are only about $15 a night, and it’s one way to get money directly to the people of Ukraine and quickly!

Book the soonest available dates. That helps the host get paid faster. Many civilians are using their homes to house refugees (for free).

An even better option (if you feel comfortable to do so):
A friend of a friend (Marcin Krol), lives just outside of the Ukrainian border in Poland. He has years of experience doing humanitarian work, and has organized volunteers to distribute food, blankets, medicine, & essential items to Ukranian refugees.
You can contact Marcin directly at marcinkrol97@gmail.com.

You can also donate towards this project using Zelle or Wise (a free international banking app), both of which have no fees. (I can provide you with link to Wise that lets you do your first transfer without exchange fees.)

Or donate via Saving Lives with Love, Inc., which has tax-exempt status in the US.

❤️‍🩹*DAY 8*
& PART 1

The next three messages are connected. Consequently I have divided them in 3 parts. They are also in part inspired by the character Yoda from Star Wars. (For anyone not familiar, a Jedi is a member of the mystical knightly order in the Star Wars films, trained to guard peace and justice in the Universe.) The the Star Wars series, Yoda is a wise sage and master of The Force. The Force is a mysterious energy field created by all life that connected everything in the universe, and binds galaxies together. Harnessing the power of The Force gives a Jedi, the Sith, and others sensitive to this spiritual energy extraordinary abilities, such as levitating objects, tricking minds, and seeing things before they happen. The energy of The Force can be used for good and evil. Yoda has always been my favorite character in the Star Wars series; a true Jedi and teacher to Jedi’s. And I’m including him in the next three messages, because to navigate today’s world wisely, one must align themselves with “The Force” and work on harnessing spiritual energy like a Jedi.

“On many long journeys have I gone. And waited, too, for others to return from journeys of their own. Some return; some are broken; some come back so different only their names remain.”
~ Yoda (as written by Leigh Brackett & Lawrence Kasdan)

Before reading the rest of today’s message, please I take a little over 5 minutes to watch this short and humorous video clip:
https://youtu.be/kH6QJzmLYtw

💌
Sometimes we fight for things that are worth fighting for. And sometimes we fight for things that aren’t because we don’t know what to do instead. Something feels uncomfortable, doesn’t “sit right” with us, and rather than “sitting with” that sense and exploring it, and/or going with the flow of something unexpected, we jump into action that, while not necessarily feeling like “right” action, do a pretty good job of helping us to avoid the uncomfortable feeling(s).

It is not uncommon for to feel uncomfortable prior to a breakdown and by in large to also feel uncomfortable just before a breakthrough. Our systems are wired for survival, and usually haven’t been trained to respond to the rocky-rolling part of living designed to shape us into our highest expression. If in moments of turbulence we can practice not reacting at all, but simply staying put and BEING, we’re likely to have a more pleasant journey, yet human beings tend to busy themselves towards human doingness, and disregard the value of just sitting still with something. That’s why for many the pandemic was particularly difficult. Like death, the unknown is not something we readily embrace. Similarly, if we relate to the turbulence in our lives as a bad thing, we tend to assert effort in seeking control over it, rather than embracing it, buckling up, and riding it out. If instead we can be present to the rollercoaster ride life (& death) can be; the unexpected turns, ups and downs, etc., it can be an exillerating and fun adventure, even when it seems like it “shouldn’t” be.

Being willing to be with the guidance given, to follow life’s lead to our next destination is generally a grace-filled process if we don’t resist. When we follow life’s flow; grace opens doors for us, even when, in the process of directing us towards our highest good, it has to close few doors first. It doesn’t necessarily mean our freedom is being taken away. It just means life has another plan for us.

In the video clip, the airplane passenger is more invested in getting his way than answering mother nature’s call (using the restroom). At the same moment the flight attendant issues the captain’s warning for passengers to buckle up and remain in their seats in order to assure their safety during potentially severe turbulence, the passenger insists on asserting his “right” not to follow these instructions. In so doing, he causes himself (and nearly other passengers) a lot of distress. Had he been willing to accept and surrender to the circumstances at hand, to trust the guidance and expertise of a person that ultimately had his best interest at heart, he would have saved himself a really unpleasant experience. (Fortunately in this scene, no one got seriously injured or clearly the video wouldn’t have been very funny.)

While the flight attendant could perhaps have presented the captain’s recommendation in a less patronizing way (expressed more compassion and understanding), experience tells us that not every professional in a role that is meant to be of service to us, is going to have a charming personality, or be right about everything. Considering that many rescue workers, as well as flight attendants deal with some incredibly difficult circumstances (and people), and often face dangerous situations where managing it is more important than soothing a rebelling personality, this is not surprising. Moreover, our neurodiversity has people process information in varied and often different ways, but that’s a subject for another message.

When it comes to Covid19, there’s a lot of data that has been manipulated on both “sides of the fence” and perhaps on both sides of The Force, for various reasons. There’s things we know, and a lot we don’t know. I think it behooves us to stay open-minded when it comes to available data, and open-hearted to one another. More importantly staying open and connected to our innate intelligence, intuition, and guidance will ultimately charter the safest and most “Force-aligned” course.

🧘🏽‍♂️
Today’s practice is an opportunity to be radically honest with yourself.

Thinking about the last couple of years, and the man in the video; can you identify any way in which you have been fighting (or are fighting) for a perspective or idea of the “right” way to do / be?
Is that way of doing and being something that could potentially injure you or someone else (physically, emotionally, psychologically, etc.)

You do not need to share any insight(s) that come to you with anyone else. It’s enough just to gently and compassionately acknowledge them to yourself.

When you are willing to be honest about how challenging it is to adjust to, or choose to change, you will most likely discover compassion for others who are facing even more intense invitations for letting go, or who are being called into transforming their relationship to anything or anyone they are really attached to.

“To be Jedi is to face the truth and choose; give off light, or darkness. Be a candle, or the night.”

A passenger argues with a flight attendant about her request to stay seated while the airplane's fasten-seatbelt sign is on for turbulence.About Key & Peele:...

Day 8 Addendum

Gentle Reader:

Due in part to the WiFi going down, and in part to someone I am close to testing positive for Covid, and my getting a common cold taking care of them, today’s message took a little longer to be sent than I expected. I began writing it on the 20th, tinkered with it on the 21st, sailed through the 22nd thinking about it (and sending 22.02.2022 blessings to all on this broadcast list), and completed it today, the 23rd.
- Why am I mentioning this? - Because it seems very appropriate, being that those were the dates (years) I was (intuitively) given we’d be dealing with the pandemic (end of 2020-beginning of 2023) and these messages are part of a series inspired by it called *Compassion19*.

I’m sending today’s message in two sections, so you can read this now and the second section later if you’re squeezed for time. I figured since I’ve spared you several days of reading, it would be okay for today’s message to be a little longer than the rest.

❤️‍🩹 Day 6 - 22.2.22 🇬🇧/ 2.22.22 🇺🇸

“You are the sky.
Everything else is just the weather.”
~ Pema Chödrön

💌
I'm inviting you to have a cup of onion tea with me… or as you read today's message, as it were… By now you've hopefully had a chance to make it from the recipe in the previous message. If not, you can join me with another cup of healthy hot liquid; even hot water with a squeeze of fresh lemon added to it, and take a moment to breathe and relax a little (or a lot).

Whether you believe life is a playground, a school, a torture chamber, an opportunity to evolve your soul, and/or to bless others, all or none of the above; by this stage in your life you've probably realized that no one gets out of “this thing” alive. In the last couple of years, more people around the world have come to realize this and may even have come face to face with their own mortality, and the mortality of people they love. As a result, they may have experienced a sense of loss. Whether it was the loss of a loved one, the loss of a job, a way of life, or simply that the world operated differently then they had grown accustomed to, the reaction to loss usually starts with disbelief or denial. It is often followed by grief and/or anger, and then turns to bargaining before it moves into acceptance, or choosing change.

Every breakdown has the potential to be a breakthrough, but no one can determine what qualifies as a breakthrough for us. We might have to do some significant soul searching to discover it. One of the greatest teachers for that discovery is realizing the nature of impermanence. Knowing that nothing and no one lasts forever, gives us a glimpse into what truly has meaning and value to us.

Aristotle once said, “In all things of nature, there is something of the marvelous.” What makes ‘things of nature’ marvelous, is that everything that is alive changes; nothing lasts forever. If we're paying attention, we discover the beauty in those changes, which are unique to each life form.

In observing the 4 seasons for example, we have the opportunity to experience the deep quiet and stillness of winter, to delight in the blossoms of Spring, to take comfort in the warmth of Summer, and be awed by the magic of the colorful display of Fall; leaves (once green) turn to crimson, red, and gold as they die and fall to the Earth to nourish new growth. They are part of the rebirth as life begins anew.
It is not unlike our own journey into and out of life, both of which are equally beauty-full. The only reason we may not perceive it as such, is because our minds have been trained out of perceiving it…

…Which brings me to today’s
PRACTICE…
🧘‍♀️
Spend time today stopping to smell and appreciate the roses…. literally if you choose, but more than that, figuratively.

Look around you and find something and/or someone to appreciate.

Then spend a few moments appreciating things or people you might have judged before. See if you can find reason(s) to love, or to appreciate them… at least something to value about them.

I recommend doing this practice just before bed, and first thing when you wake up and then at least once more sometime during the day if you’re feeling like a compassion virtuoso! 😉

❤️‍🩹 Day 5

“Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.”
~ Leo Buscaglia

Compassion with others is much more effective when we are compassionate with ourselves; taking care not just of our emotional needs, but being kind to ourselves physically (and mentally). Moreover, supporting your immune system and wellbeing, especially during a pandemic is kind of a smart thing to do.

During my 2nd bout with Covid I did a lot of things that were not very self-compassionate. I did not take care of my physical needs until I was already really sick, and I did not ask for help until I nearly died. (I will share the whole “story”in a later message, but for now, suffice it to say that with any viral condition or dis-ease, when we push ourselves and ignore the messages life and our body gives us, we tend to pay for it later, but only most of the time.

It doesn’t take a scientist to figure out that by getting plenty of rest, drinking pure, clean water (not with food), ingesting healing herbs, and a diet that consists of organic, whole (unprocessed) foods; everything that makes your body have energy and feel calm and nourished, you’re going to be a lot less likely to get, and/or stay sick. If you treat your body like a temple, or, at the very least like a very good friend, experiencing health and happiness is going to be a lot more likely.

That said, today’s practice is hands on; making an immunomodulatory tea that (among other things) contains Quercetin (a naturally occurring polyphenol) which, along with Vit C, and Zinc is a great antihistamine and has powerful antiviral properties that make it really effective against Covid19. Quercetin also has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects that can help reduce swelling, kill cancer cells, control blood sugar, and help prevent heart disease. It is a natural form of hydroxychloroquine (made from the rind of fruit) and is characterized by a very high safety profile.

A recent study revealed the use of quercetin helped reduce the frequency and length of hospitalization in Covid patience and a reduction in the severity of symptoms.
Although it is known to work safely with other medications, if you have a known health condition, please consult a health care provider, as this is by no means medical advise.

*Onion Tea*
This traditional Dominican Onion Tea recipe has been cherished for its immune-boosting & anti-viral effects.
(I tend to increase the amount I put in each for stronger flavor and greater potency, so use the smaller listed dosage if you want a milder brew.)

There are several variations for this recipe. I tend to intuitively customize the recipe to each of my clients / person’s tastes or needs, but use your intuition and what resonates most with your own body.

INGREDIENTS & AMOUNTS

Add in the following ingredients to a large pot with 7-10 cups of water:

* 1-2 red onions
- chopped into quarters. (If onions are organic, you can include the skin for additional health benefits.)

* 1 Apple 🍎
- chopped into quarters. (You can add an extra apple 🍏 and/or a pear 🍐 if you want an even sweeter, fruiter tea.)

* 2-4 inches of Ginger
- chopped into small pieces or grated.

* 1-2 tbsp of Cinnamon powder - or 3-4 cinnamon sticks.

* 1-3 tsp of Cloves powder or 7-20 (whole) cloves. (I Love the taste and benefits so tend to add the more.)

* The peel of 1 Orange* 🍊 &/or 1 Grapefruit*.
- *Only if organic!

Other Ingredients to consider:

1-2 whole Garlic cloves.

* A quarter or even a whole Lemon 🍋(if you don’t mind it puckery).
- Squeeze into your cup AFTER the tea is prepare and ready to drink.

* Raw Honey (to taste).
- Pour into cup AFTER the tea has cooled a little; to preserve the enzymes!

* For bed/nighttime or relaxation, you can add Chamomile.
OR
* Green tea - for a gentle morning wake up and extra antioxidants.

1-2 tsp(s) of Vanilla in powder, liquid, or pod form (a natural antibiotic).

Leaves/herbs; such as:
Fennel seeds,
Bay leaves,
Anise,
kloilooas,
naranja,
agria,
limoncillo,
guanabana, ...
• 🎶 …parsley,
• sage,
• rosemary &
• thyme 🎶.....Anything you like for enhancing the flavor can be added, all of which are immune boosting and “fire fighters” for viral infections and inflammation, etc. (and the latter are featured in a Simon & Garfunkel song so they must be good together).

😋

*INSTRUCTIONS*
Set the heat to medium-low and slowly bring to a boil for 10-15 minutes.

Let simmer for another 15-20 minutes (the longer, the better).

A good way to measure potency is to wait until the apples are brown and sink to the bottom.

🫖
Serve with an optional squeeze of lemon and raw honey.

If your home is warm you might want to keep the same pot in the fridge for the next 2-ish days and re-heat it each time on low heat.

The tea will become even more potent and concentrated in the next days, and the ginger will taste extra spicy, (which I love)!

2. The onion can be red, white, or yellow, but red onion is more traditionally used. It has more antioxidants, tastes less pungent, and gives the tea a lovely crimson color.

L'chaim! To your radiant health & wellbeing!

❤️‍🩹 DAY 4

“Until he extends the circle of his compassion to all living things, man will not himself find peace. The purpose of human life is to serve, and to show compassion and the will to help others.”
~ Albert Schweitzer

Yesterday we spoke about empathy, which by and large is easier for humans to pass along to other humans. We are not so keen to practice it with other creatures (unless maybe they’re our own pets). If you ask an insect for example, they’d probably tell you; “Human empathy shmempathy. Here’s human empathy for you: Things die all over your windshield, and humans be like: “Man! I just washed this!”

That said, let’s talk about bugs for a moment…
Sometimes it can be easier to have compassion for beings that can’t think for themselves, that don’t challenge our beliefs, that don’t push us out of our comfort zone. If having compassion for someone you don’t agree with is difficult for you, imagine they’re a bug. If they’re bugging you, you can even think of them as a mosquito, a cockroach, or fly, or whatever insects irks you. You can realize you’re annoyed just because that insect exists, but you don’t take that personally; you don’t allow it to alter your mood to such a degree that you go around being grumpy all day.

While you might say, “No, I’d just squash the darn thing”, I’m going to invite you to take a different approach.

….Which brings us to today’s…

🧘‍♂️ …PRACTICE:
Compassion doesn’t have to be a laborious thing! Although spiritual teachings can sometimes make it sound uber-serious and IMPORTANT, it can actually be FUN! And it doesn’t have to take a great deal of effort or understanding. In the end WE are the ones who benefit most from the experience of cultivating compassion. The more compassion we can extend, the simpler, more meaningful and enriching we will find our human experience and interactions.

TODAY - explore offering compassion to someone that’s easy to extend it to; a task that’s relatively small.
For example:
Extend compassion to the postal-person when they arrive late,
The cashier at the supermarket when they con’t find the code for your product,
The elderly person in front of you at the post office who holds you up because they forgot their payment card,
The driver who cuts you off (accidentally or on purpose) because they’re frazzled or entitled.

It’s important to start the practice of compassion in small, bite size pieces, or three foot tosses; super simple. That way you’ll be able to cultivate compassion without trepidation, reservation, or resistance.

Then, if or when something irritates you a little or a lot; like a mosquito, spider, a fly, a sound, person, place or situation (anything that invokes irritation in you): you can think inside yourself and toward any of the latter, one of the following sentences, and while extending care, kindness, love, healing and/or compassion:

“You are loved and appreciated.”
“I see the light you shine.”
“I am grateful for the role you fulfill.”
“You are precious and valuable.”
“Thank you for the mirror you are to me.”
“Bless you and the horse you rode in on!”

Feel free to invent your own sentence. And if you’d like to share it with me or someone else, that would be great too! If I get some great suggestions, I’ll compile a list to send out.

While you may (at times) feel a sense of power and satisfaction from squashing something you don’t like, you may be surprised how much more powerful satisfaction you actually experience from extending compassion and loving kindness to all living things, situations, etc.
Ultimately being unkind and mean stirs up a sense of conflict inside of us, because our true and authentic nature is to support life, not to crush or to sabotage it. Being loving and kind is so much more fun and makes life a JOY; Jovial Or****ic Yumminess!!!
