If your kid is sensitive to the world, gets overwhelmed easily - and he’s on supplements - you must listen to this.

Most supplements are made with citric acid, which in turn is made from black mold (the majority of it).

Knowing this, PLEASE check the supplement label on the back and make sure it doesn’t contain citric acid.

If it does, take a 5-7 days break from the supplements and see how your kid reacts.

It’s easy to laugh… until you realize how often this actually gets missed.

No parent is intentionally exposing their child to mold. But what I see over and over again is families dealing with constant ear infections, asthma, chronic congestion, kids always getting sick - without ever questioning the environment.

We’ve been taught to normalize it. “Kids just get sick.” “It’s just allergies.” But when symptoms improve on vacation and come right back at home - that’s not random.

In my experience, when issues are persistent or escalating, there’s usually something deeper driving it. And mold exposure is one of the most overlooked pieces.

If something feels off and you can’t quite explain it…

Is your kid getting sick all the time? Have they started developing odd behavioral challenges? Did these health challenges start after they started school? Do they seem to get better when on break only to develop problems again once back in school?

Your home might be fine… but what about your child’s school?

Around 1 in 5 schools have mold.

So when symptoms suddenly show up… chronic cough, asthma, constant infections… it might not be random.

The World Health Organization links mold exposure to a 3x higher risk of respiratory issues in kids.

Sometimes the problem isn’t the child.

It’s the environment they’re in every day.

Do you know whether you child’s school has mold or not? Are other kids getting sick often or developing odd problems? If so, it may be worth studying your child’s classroom.

I’ve had so many families tell me “our home is fine” because there’s no visible mold, no smell, no obvious leak… and yet their child keeps getting worse.

The issue is how we test.

Most inspections are still using outdated air sampling that only looks for mold spores… not the toxins, not the inflammatory particles, not the things that actually make people sick.

So families get a “clean” result… while exposure is still happening every single day.

And over time, that low-level exposure adds up… affecting the immune system, the brain, and overall health in ways that don’t get connected back to the home.

Comment “Protocol” and I’ll send you a detailed mold protocol I wrote on what you should do if you or your kids have been exposed to mold.⤵️

You may have tested your home for mold and been told, “You Don’t have Mold.”

It turns out that your well-intending inspector who just took some air samples from inside your home could have very well missed contamination.

These tests ONLY measure mold spores … and COMPLETELY ignore the toxins, bacteria, and particles that are actually affecting your health.

Here’s the issue most people don’t realize:

Mold spores are relatively heavy.
A study out of UC Berkeley showed they only travel about 4 inches.

So if your test is 5, 10, 15 feet away from the source… what exactly do you think it’s picking up?

Nothing meaningful.

This is why so many homes get a “clean” result while symptoms keep getting worse.

The testing isn’t wrong… it’s just incomplete.

Some kids aren’t “acting out” - they’re overwhelmed by what’s happening inside their bodies. 😧

This mom talked to specialists, tried all the diets in the world, followed protocols, but no one addressed one simple question:

What if the aggression, sleep issues, and irritability were coming from inflammation?

When we finally supported that piece, everything started to shift. Not overnight, but enough to change the direction completely.

Less aggression. Better sleep. And for the first time, a moment of connection instead of conflict.

This is why no matter what problem I’m trying to solve I always start here: before labels, before more interventions, ask what’s actually driving the behavior.

If you resonate with this, please tell your story in the comments and let’s make this a safe place for mothers to connect and share experiences.👇

It breaks my heart to see this dear family struggle like this. It breaks my heart to know there are hundreds of thousands of families whose children cannot control themselves, and are attacking their parents, siblings, or peers at school - not because they want to be aggressive! It’s because they can’t control the anger and aggression.

When there is neuroinflammation - microglial and mast cell activation within the brain - this inflammation changes the wiring of our primitive brain (limbic system) and literally changes how our brain perceives threats.

The world becomes unsafe - not because of what the family has done, but because of how inflammation has changed the child. I see this day in and day out in the children I serve, and rarely is this something considered by conventional or integrative providers.

We can change this, and it starts with just becoming aware.

If you want, I also have a protocol with the use of anti-inflammatories that can help these children feel more calm. Just type in “ANSWER” and we will send you a link. 👇

I know exactly how this feels because at one point, this was my child.

Hyperactivity, impulsivity, constant trouble… and as parents, we’re told to fix it with better discipline, better boundaries, better parenting.

But what if it’s not a parenting problem?

What if it’s inflammation affecting the nervous system, making it harder for these kids to regulate, focus, and slow down?

These kids aren’t choosing this. And if we don’t understand why it’s happening, we risk hurting their confidence while trying to correct their behavior.

If you’re seeing this in your child, share below. We need to start having a different conversation. 👇

I’m not a couples therapist, but I’ve heard this more than I can count.

A once calm, kind person suddenly anxious, reactive, even aggressive… and many times spouses start pointing fingers at each other.

We’re quick to label it as stress, personality, or relationship issues.

But what if it’s something else?

Toxic mold exposure often triggers inflammation in the brain, altering how we process fear and for some people, that shows up as anxiety, while for others it shows up as anger and rage.

This isn’t talked about enough. And it’s missed all the time.
