This! There are so many beautiful ways for dads to bond with their babies. They don’t have to interrupt breastfeeding to do so.
Unpopular opinion: dads don’t need to feed babies to bond with them 🗣️❤️
Somewhere along the way we started telling breastfeeding mamas that dads NEED to give bottles so they can “bond.” And honestly… I don’t buy it.
Feeding is not the only way a father connects with his baby.
Bonding happens when a dad holds his baby against his chest.
When he walks the floor with them at night.
When he talks to them, sings to them, changes nappies, makes them laugh, or simply sits there staring at the tiny human he helped create.
A breastfeeding mama can exclusively breastfeed and a dad can still build the most beautiful, secure, loving bond with his baby.
Dads don’t need a bottle to become amazing fathers. They just need presence, love, and time with their baby.
Let’s stop making mamas feel like they have to interrupt breastfeeding just to “create” a bond that fathers are fully capable of building in so many other ways.
Share this if you agree that dads can build incredible bonds with their babies without needing to feed them ❤️
