It has only taken us 4 years but Kyla is finally able to get a poke or IV without having to be held down 🥳👏🏻🙌🏻🎉
Kyla gets nightly shots of growth hormones but this afternoon she had to get some blood drawn to check her growth hormone levels.

We are so proud of her!!

This picture was taken in July when we visited St Jude last. Trish and I plan our trips so we can be there at the same time so Chance and Kyla can be reunited. We are very lucky to have had Amanda come in town for the time we were there too.

I hated the idea of not including Karson in there in some way. So thankful for these two women and those two amazing boys.
Karson has been living his best life in Heaven since February 2023. He was taken away far too early and we miss him dearly 🫶🏻🪽

I am so thankful for my friendship with these women 💗

Another school year beginning and a brand new school for Kaydn and Kyla. I am so very excited for them, now I miss my babies but I know they are going to have the best time at The Barrett School at Destin.

Other than a few days last school year, Kyla hasn’t really left my side. I guess this is what life feels like, I haven’t felt this in 3 years.

As I celebrate my kids going back to school I also want to acknowledge all of the kids that aren’t able to, the ones taken too soon and the ones that are still fighting or recovering 🫶🏻🎗️

Three years ago today, we discovered Kyla's brain tumor.

What we thought was a simple eye test turned into the worst day of our lives. I still to this day can’t wrap my mind around it all. I am so very grateful we get to keep doing life with Kyla here with us.

Thank you everyone for all of the support we have had since that day in 2021 🫶🏻

Last week we visited Dr Kruger and Kyla sat in that exact same chair. Kyla’s cataract in her right eye (paralysed side) has grown to the point she is getting very little light in her eye and so her vision is awful. So now I am on the hunt for a surgeon to remove the cataract. After that she will need to wear glasses every day.
It is so very frustrating that the radiation and chemo she had to have to save her life, caused so many issues and will continue to do so for the rest of her life. I have struggled with this for the last week.

Life is just hard some days and that’s okay, we just keep swimming and hope for better days ahead.
Oh and Kaydn needs glasses too 🤦🏼‍♀️
