I am deeply disturbed by what I’ve been reading and hearing about the biggest simp I ever had to deal with as your elected Representative- beta male Commissioner Colten Wright.
First, I see the videos of this scoundrel trying to demean and belittle our three most honorable Commissioners, particularly my hardworking friend Rhett Rowell. Then I hear he is somehow involved in smearing the reputation of our very own Sheriff Bob Johnson. If that’s not enough, I listen to public servant Brad Baker, another decent man, having to defend his honor while metrosexual Colten tried to blame him for the recent $147K request for boardroom renovations.
If you go on social media, you already know all these things. What you may not know is the disrespectful phone call I got from Colten on my first day on the job as the people’s voice. The morning after my election, I posted a live video showing the traffic light out at Edgewood and 98. I asked the County Commission to send someone to fix it. I drove down to Boca Raton that night to visit my kid in college when I get this nasty, inappropriate message from Mr Wright saying that my FB post was “making him look bad”. You can ask Jerry Couey, who had to calm me down, over how disrespectful County Commissioner Colten was. So Rhett Rowell, you are not the only one Colten tries to intimidate. He’s a bully.
I went out of my way to work with this guy, even making sure he was invited to all my discussions on Highway 98, even though he had absolutely nothing to do with any of it.
But his true nature showed itself when he cried like a baby at Johnny Huston’s because he was afraid I was going to make him take a stand on an issue affecting Navarre. This snake was more worried about reelection and didn’t want to publicly support or deny anything during an election year. This guy was so hated, no wonder his cohorts Sam Parker and James Calkins recruited a candidate to run against him. And remember, that write-in candidate with no campaign and a history of alleged sexual improprieties almost beat Crybaby Colten!!
I normally wouldn’t give this creep any attention at all, but I consider this payback for the time he lied about my record and maligned my character in front of my wife and family at a school forum. Of course, he only did so after making sure I wasn’t there to defend myself. That’s how Colten rolls.
Like everyone else I met in politics, Colten probably started off as a decent guy, but politics has absolutely ruined him. To see how he treats his citizens, much less his arrogance towards his fellow commissioners, left me fuming. The Harbor Freight meeting with Rickie Cotton to slander Sheriff Bob Johnson was the final straw.
He needs to go. Sorry for the rant, but I wanted everyone to know this poor excuse for a man should not hold any public office, much less slander decent patriots like Rhett Rowell and Sheriff Johnson.
