“Being bilingual has given me the privilege of using this skill to support others.”

Through her experience at the Jewish Community Free Clinic, Yaire supported patients through translation, front-desk care, and compassionate communication, building confidence and clarity in her path toward becoming a physician assistant.

“My internship helped confirm my goal of becoming a nurse.”

Through her work with Santa Rosa Community Health, Alisa supported teen sexual health education, helped destigmatize STI conversations, and strengthened her patient communication skills.

We had an amazing Nursing Application Workshop in collaboration with Pre-NURSE Pathway, HOPE, Avanzando and EOPS!

A HUGE thank you to Daisy Cardenas (EOPS Counselor), for coming back to our students to offer invaluable advice on the nursing application process for ADN schools in Sonoma County and BSN schools in California.

The accessibility of this information is crucial and students left the workshop feeling more prepared to take on nursing apps!

We hope to see some of you at the Petaluma workshop tonight!

Attention Students!

We’re thrilled to announce the return of the HOPE Sutter Fellowship Program in partnership with SRJC Work Experience for Fall 2025!
This paid fellowship is your chance to:

Build real-world professional skills
Shadow & support healthcare professionals
Boost your career readiness in health sciences
Earn $23/hour after completing the program

Fellowship Details:
Duration: January - May 2026
Location: Internship sites across Sonoma County (TBD)
Roles May Include: Admin support, patient check-ins, shadowing providers, research assistance
5-10 hrs week
