Happy Monday! Have you been having a hard time showing up in your practice? Here's a mindful memo, and an invitation, from one of our talented teachers, Baddoura Carte:
As a yoga student first, and a teacher second, the times when I feel the most tired, exhausted, overwhelmed, emotional, and even short of breath are the times I most want to show up on my mat.
In those moments, my practice becomes the safest and calmest place for me. It’s where I allow my vulnerability, emotions, and even tears to surface. I know my mat is a safe space to let go, to find my breath again — or to simply allow the breath to find me.
And it doesn’t have to be an aggressive practice or a strong flow. Sometimes it’s a gentle Yinyasa practice — slow, mindful movement that releases tension in the body and softens stress and emotions.
My mat is where I return to myself.
I invite you to join me. Tuesdays at 5:45pm and Saturdays at 10:00am. Let’s come to our mats, release what we’re carrying, breathe deeply, be brave in our vulnerability, and reconnect with our truest selves — together.
