𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗔𝘀𝗸𝗲𝗱:
“Is the lung part of a continuous fascial-organ system that communicates with the rest of the body?”

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱:
*Hyaluronic acid (HA) formed a seamless network through all lung compartments, connecting with vessel walls and nerve sheaths linking directly to the global fascial system.

*Tiny airborne carbon particles travelled through this connective network — inside and beyond the lungs!

*Mouse lungs showed similar organization but lacked HA in alveolar walls, a subtle species difference in fascial architecture.

𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗜𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀:
The study shows that interstitial spaces are communication highways between organs; pathways through which inflammation, infection or cancer may spread (even hinting at a fascial link between the lung and brain).

Posted • .uk 🎻 How can musicians achieve new technical and expressive possibilities? Violinist Juliana Soproni discovered the answer thanks to a Ten Series of Rolfing® Structural Integration:

“After a Ten Series […] the student realises that it is not, in fact, a question of talent at all. Instead, it is a question of genuine coordinated independence of the left and right hand. […] Such success is possible because she has achieved alignment in gravity.”

The article by Certified Advanced Rolfer® Klaus Liebetrau and professional violinist Juliana Soproni shows that posture and spatial awareness are not peripheral issues but musical skills in their own right. As he writes: “A body does not exist in relation to itself but always in relation to something or someone.”

When musicians find their “alignment in gravity”, technical freedom, stage presence and expressive depth can all expand.

Rolfing® For Healing and High Performance

Being put into twister cable braces at the age of four to correct "pigeon-toed" walking was the spark that ignited the fire of my life-long interest in the structural organization of the human body. I have been in private practice as a Certified Rolfer™ since 1996, completing the Advanced RolfingTraining in 2000 and Rolf Movement Training in 2002.

In addition to Rolfing training I have studied pilates, craniosacraltherapy, and somatic approaches to healing trauma. I have a deep and abiding interest in body-oriented psychotherapies. I also hold certification from the Certification Board for Structural Integration. My personal movement practices include many years of classical dance training, a strong yoga practice and my current passion, salsa dancing.
