Perimenopause & Menopause: You're not losing your mind. But it sure feels that way sometimes.

🥵 Hot flashes that wake you up drenched at 3 a.m.
😶‍🌫️ Brain fog so thick you forget what you were saying mid-sentence.
👿 Irritability that makes you snap at people you love—and then feel terrible about i.
🥱 Libido? What libido.
😵‍💫 Sleep that won't come, no matter how tired you are. And the fatigue. God, the fatigue.

You're in perimenopause or menopause. And no one prepared you for this.

Puberty got all the attention—the talks, the books, the cultural acknowledgment. But this transition? You're supposed to just figure it out. Power through. "It's normal."

Sure, it's normal. But that doesn't mean you have to suffer through it.

And winter makes everything harder. The darkness affects your mood. The cold taxes your energy. The holiday stress amplified every symptom.

This isn't a disease. It's a transition. A massive recalibration. Your body is shifting into a new phase—one that Chinese Medicine views as a time of deep inner wisdom and power.

But right now? You just want to feel like yourself again.

Whether you're going the natural route or working with HRT, acupuncture and herbal medicine can help your body find its new rhythm. We support the hormonal shifts, calm the nervous system, and help you move through this transition with more ease and less misery.

Don't wait until you're completely undone. Let's start supporting your system now—before winter gets any longer.

Healing Isn’t a Straight Line - And That’s Okay

We all want healing to be neat and tidy. We want a quick fix, a clear path, and a one-time answer that solves everything.

But here’s the truth: healing is messy. There’s no clean start or finish. There’s no
“one-size-fits-all.” It’s more like a journey: where you take a few steps forward, and a few steps back.

Some days you’ll feel like you’re making progress, and some days it’s just going to feel like you’re stuck in a loop. And guess what? That’s okay.

It doesn’t make you weak or wrong to not have it all together. It just means you’re human. And healing isn’t linear - but it does work when you stick with it.

That’s why we're here - because we believe in the long haul. It’s not about rushing to get to the finish line; it’s about being in the process and knowing that every step counts.

If you’re ready to stop waiting for the perfect moment to start healing, let’s talk about how acupuncture and herbal medicine can help you take that first step.

Let's make healing a process—together. We'll create a treatment plan, track progress, and celebrate the wins with you along the path.

Constantly running to the bathroom? Waking up multiple times a night to p*e?

Frequent urination. Urgency. Weak stream. Bladder infections that keep coming back. Incontinence when you laugh, cough, or sneeze.

These aren't just annoying—they're signs that your Bladder and Kidney systems need support.

In Chinese Medicine, the Bladder and Kidneys work together to regulate water metabolism and urinary function. When the Kidney energy is weak (especially common in winter), bladder issues flare up.

Acupuncture helps by:
💧 Strengthening the Kidney and Bladder systems
💧 Reducing inflammation and urgency
💧 Supporting pelvic floor function
💧 Addressing chronic infections at the root

Herbal remedies support conditions such as:
🌿 Chronic Utis
🌿 Enlarged Prostate
🌿 Interstitial Cystitis
🌿 Urinary Changes Associated with Hormonal Changes

You shouldn't have to plan your life around bathroom access. Let's fix this.

Knee pain has a way of limiting everything.

Standing. Walking. Stairs. Getting in and out of the car. Playing with your kids or grandkids. The things you used to do without thinking twice.

We treat all kinds of knee issues:
💥 Arthritis and inflammation
💥 Meniscus or ligament injuries
💥 Runner's knee
💥 IT band syndrome
💥 Post-surgical pain and stiffness
💥 General wear and tear

In Chinese Medicine, the knees are governed by the Kidney system, which means weak knees often point to deeper depletion in your body's foundational energy.

✨ Acupuncture helps reduce inflammation, improve circulation, and support the structures around your knee so you can move with more ease and less pain.

🌿 We also have truly effective natural herbal remedies--balms, liniments, creams, patches, soaks--that treat pain and promote soft tissue healing.

Let's get you back to doing what you love.

The days are short. The light is low. And you feel like you're moving through mud.

It's not just "winter blues." It's Seasonal Affective Disorder—and it's real. You might be experiencing:
🐻 Heavy fatigue that doesn't lift, no matter how much you sleep
🐻 Loss of motivation or interest in things you usually enjoy
🐻 Carb cravings and weight gain
🐻 Social withdrawal (you just want to hibernate)
🐻 Difficulty concentrating or making decisions
🐻 A pervasive sense of hopelessness or heaviness

In Chinese Medicine, this is often a combination of Kidney Yang deficiency (lack of inner warmth and drive) and Spleen Qi deficiency (inability to generate energy from food and rest). Winter exacerbates both.

Acupuncture helps by:
✨ Restoring warmth and circulation
✨ Tonifying the systems that generate energy
✨ Regulating mood and supporting the nervous system
✨ Working alongside light therapy, movement, and (if needed) medication

Herbs support you by:
🌿 Targeting your specific symptoms
🌿 Increasing circulation
🌿 Decreasing inflammation
🌿 Regulating the digestive system
🌿 Calming the central nervous system

You don't have to just survive winter. Let's help you move through it with more light.

Winter (the season of quiet strength) - Time to Tend to Your Core

In Chinese Medicine, it's the time to nourish your core so that you emerge in spring feeling grounded, healthy, and energized.

This is a great time to begin acupuncture and herbal medicine if you want to support your immune system, regulate your hormones, balance digestion, address lingering health concerns, or simply build up your reserves for the year ahead.

Let's work together to help you align with the season and feel your best.

You used to be the person who got things done. Now? You can barely get off the couch.

It's not laziness. It's not lack of discipline.

It's Kidney depletion—and it shows up as a complete loss of drive, willpower, and motivation. You might also be experiencing:
🩵 Inability to follow through on goals
🤎 Decision fatigue
🩵 Procrastination that feels paralyzing
🤎 Loss of ambition or purpose
🩵 A sense of "what's the point?"

In Chinese Medicine, the Kidneys are the source of your willpower. When they're depleted, your internal fire goes out. Winter (Kidney season) can make this even more pronounced.

We help restore your Kidney energy so you can access your inner drive again—not through force, but through deep replenishment.

You're not lost. You're depleted. And that's something we can work with.

What to Expect in Your First Visit

Walking into a new clinic can feel weird. Especially when you don't know what's going to happen.

Here's what your first visit actually looks like:
🔹 We talk. The acupuncturist reviews your health history that you filled out before your appointment so they are ready with questions to help us understand your goals and to dial in the best treatment for you to reach them.
🔹 Then we look. We'll check your tongue and take your pulse. (Yes, really. Your tongue and pulse tell us a ton about what's happening internally.)
🔹 You rest. You'll lie down, fully clothed (we only need access to your arms, legs, and head). We'll place hair-thin needles in specific points—most people don't even feel them go in.
🔹 Then you breathe. You get 30 minutes to just be. Most people fall asleep, get so relaxed they loose track of time, or go into that deep, floaty relaxation state.

That's it. No pressure. No weird stuff. Just your body getting the space to start shifting.

Ready to try it?
