My client, a high school baseball player came in complaining of shoulder pain. He could not raise his arm up in front of his body past shoulder height , execute a throwing motion or raise his arm laterally away from his side without pain. Not only did I find his subscapularis overworking for his teres major infraspinatus and long head bicep, but I also found his biceps tendon out of its groove. I released his subscap , activated his teres major and long head bicep, then re checked his movement assessments. His eyes got super big when he could raise his arm all the way up, pointed at the ceiling in both directions with absolutely no pain. 😲🤗😅. When I re-palpated his shoulder to check for the bicep tendon it was much closer to being in the right place with much better tone. He does still have some work to do .

The significant other of a friend of mine came in complaining of neck , mid back and shoulder pain. She said the pain would radiate out in multiple directions. When I hear those types of complaints I usually start with tissues that attach to the spine . I felt like this was a clear case of a dysfunctional rhomboid but test don’t guess. Using NKT level 1 protocols I found her left rhomboid overworking and her serratus anterior under working. Released the rhomboid then activated the serratus. Then we also found her rhomboid to be in a dysfunctional relationship with her lat. once again the rhomboid was over working and the lat was underworking. Released the rhomboid once again and activated the lat. We repeated these protocols in full 3 times. 2 weeks later I saw her at a flag football event and she told me she hadn’t had any pain at all since our appointment.
