🏃‍♂️💙 Run with Purpose – Help Educate and Save Lives 💙🏃‍♀️
Center Point DAAC hopes you will support the Humboldt Redwoods Half Marathon & 5K on June 28th, hosted by the Empire Runners Club. This isn’t just a race — it’s a fundraiser for Song for Charlie, a nonprofit dedicated to educating teens and families about the risks of fentanyl and fake pills.

Every step you take helps support vital prevention efforts and raises awareness about youth drug misuse — especially in the age of social media and counterfeit pills.

🌲 Set against the stunning backdrop of the Avenue of the Giants, this event is a powerful way to promote health, healing, and hope.

Center Point DAAC has been awarded a $750,000 grant from DHCS through the California Hub and Spoke System program! 🎉 This funding will help us launch Sonoma County's FIRST Mobile Care Clinic for substance abuse in March 2025. A fully equipped medical clinic on wheels providing substance use and medication-assisted treatment (MAT) services to underserved areas.

This innovative clinic will bring care directly to those who need it most, breaking barriers like lack of transportation and reaching people at community events, fairs, and more.

We are incredibly grateful to DHCS for their continued support and to AHP for their invaluable partnership in making this possible. Together, we are taking a big step forward in the fight against the opioid epidemic. 💙

Stay tuned for updates as we prepare to roll out this transformative service!

🎄✨ Heartwarming Holiday Update! ✨🎄

We’re overjoyed to share that 92 gifts have been collected for the parents in our treatment programs to brighten the holidays for their children! These gifts were specially requested by parents some time ago, and thanks to the generosity of our community, they are now being distributed to bring smiles to the faces of these families.

A huge shout-out to the Center for Volunteer & Nonprofit Leadership (CVNL) and the amazing Lauren Oblad, who has been instrumental in making this happen. We also want to thank our incredible “Santa’s little helpers,” Mia and Kelley, for coordinating this heartwarming effort. 🎅🎁

This initiative is one of our favorite traditions. We all know how tough the holidays can be for children whose parents are navigating the challenges of recovery. To help these parents provide a magical Christmas while staying committed to sobriety is truly inspiring.

These gifts don’t just bring holiday cheer—they remind us of the life-changing work we do every day to support these families. Together, we’re making a difference in the lives of these children and their parents.

Thank you to everyone who made this possible. Let’s keep spreading hope, joy, and love this holiday season! ❤️

Urgent Need to Provide Clothing for Men in Recovery!

Many of the men in our alcohol and drug treatment program come to us with little more than the clothes on their backs. They often arrive directly from custody or homelessness, leaving them with no clothing to get through their treatment journey.

We are urgently seeking clean and gently used men's clothing, especially winter items, to support our clients. These clothes are not only appreciated but become a vital part of their recovery journey, providing comfort, dignity, and a fresh start.

Items Needed:

Winter clothing: Jackets, sweaters, coats
Everyday essentials: Pants, shirts, t-shirts
Formal attire: Dress shirts, belts, shoes
New & Unopened: Underwear, boxers, socks

If you don’t have clothing to spare, please consider making a financial contribution to our clothing fund. Your donation will go directly toward purchasing much-needed clothing and is 100% tax-deductible. A receipt will be provided for tax purposes. We use these funds to purchase essential items that must be new, like underwear, and other urgently needed clothing through local thrift stores. This not only ensures our men have what they need but also supports a local thrift store charity, maximizing the impact of every dollar you give.

Every donation—big or small—helps our clients feel seen, valued, and supported during their time in treatment.

How to Donate:

Drop off clothing: 790 Sonoma Ave, Santa Rosa, CA 95404 - Every day between 9 AM to 6 PM.

Make a financial contribution using your credit or debit card, Apple Pay, of Google Pay: https://www.cpdaac.org/clothing-fund-donations

Donate to provide clean clothing for men in recovery. Many arrive with only the clothes on their backs. Your gift helps us supply essentials like jackets, pants, shirts, and shoes. All donations are 100% tax-deductible and make a meaningful difference in their journey to rebuild their lives.
