A corneal abrasion is a scratch on the protective “window” at the front of your eye, known as the cornea. The cornea can be scratched by dust, dirt, wood shavings, contact lenses, and more. Typically, a corneal abrasion heals itself within a couple of days, however, if you continue to experience pain or discomfort, we recommend coming in to get it checked out!
