At 3 years we say, ''Mommy I love you." At 10 years we say, ''Mom, whatever." 16 years we say, "My mom is so annoying!" At 18 years we say, "I'm leaving this house." At 25 years we say ''Mom, you were right''. At 30 years we say "'I want to go to Mom's house." At 50 years we say ''I don't want to lose my mom." At 70 years we say "I would give up everything to have my mom here with me." You only have one Momma🌹

WHEN PARENTS GET OLD...
Let them grow old with the same love they let you grow... let them speak and tell repeated stories with the same patience and interest they heard yours as a child... let them overcome, like so many times they let you win.... let them enjoy their friends, the talks with their grandchildren... let them enjoy living among the objects that have accompanied him for a long time, because they suffer feeling that you tear pieces of his life away... let them be wrong, like so many times you have Wrong you... LET THEM LIVE and try to make them happy the last stretch of the road they lack to go, just as they gave you their hand when you started yours!! 🙏

LET THEM LIVE and try to make them happy the last stretch of the path they have left to go; give them your hand, just like they gave you their hand when you started your path!

Someone once said, “when you love someone with dementia you lose them more and more everyday. When they are diagnosed, when they go through different stages, when they go into care and when they die. 😢 This is called “Ambiguous Loss.” ‘Rapidly shrinking brain’ is how doctors described it. I wouldn't wish Dementia on anyone. As the persons brain slowly dies, they change physically and eventually forget who their loved ones are. They can eventually become bedridden, unable to move and unable to eat or drink.

There will be people who will scroll by this message because dementia has not touched them. They may not know what it's like to have a loved one who has fought or is fighting a battle against Dementia.
