We're proud to help plan and organize “What’s Changing in Healthcare and What To Do Next,” the Healthcare Forum & Resource Fair in Sonoma County this morning, alongside Los Cien Sonoma County and our community partners.
As a nonprofit committed to serving everyone in our community, regardless of documentation status, insurance coverage, income, or background, we were motivated to support this event because these issues directly affect the people we care for every day. We are, proudly, a loving reflection of our community.
This forum brought together regional experts, healthcare providers, and local leaders to offer clear information, share what changes are coming, and connect residents with vital resources during a time of real transition in California’s healthcare system.
We were inspired by Francisco J. Silva, Esq., MBA, President and CEO of the California Primary Care Association, who shared his journey from working in the fields as a young boy to becoming a statewide advocate for the one in five Californians who depend on community health centers. He also reminded us of the urgent 1.5 billion dollar funding shortfall facing community health in California, and how deeply families could be impacted without action.
At the Center for Well-Being, we believe deeply in that vision. Our mission remains focused on ensuring accessible, culturally rooted, community-centered care for all. We believe health is a human right, and we will continue to advocate for equity and stand with the partners who share this commitment.
Thank you to Los Cien, California Primary Care Association, Petaluma Health Center, Inc, Santa Rosa Community Health, Kaiser Permanente, and all our partners who helped bring this forum and resource fair to life. Together, we are helping Sonoma County move toward a healthier and more equitable future.
