BrightHaven shared a moving tribute to our beloved Purrci, who found his forever home with the organization's founder, Gail Pope, helping her through a difficult time. Purrci was a quirky and loving cat with a unique tail and a knack for mischief, and we celebrate his life with the BrightHaven and Wise and Wonderful families.

With a heavy heart, we say goodbye to our beloved clinic cat, Purrci, who passed away on August 22, 2025. He was 13 years old.

For many years, he could be found perched in one of his favorite spots, either the front window or on one of the desks in reception, where he could survey his kingdom and greet our clients. When not busy meeting and greeting, he could be found raiding the treat jars throughout the clinic to work on his next bout of diarrhea.

In his later years, Purrci retired from his royal duties to live with his beloved caretaker, Gail. In his new home, he became a soulmate and a source of profound comfort, helping to heal a heart in a way no human could. It was clear the love between them was mutual and deep. Purrci spent his final days peacefully, surrounded by love and family.

Purrci lived all of his nine lives and then some, proving time and again his incredible will to live. We are forever grateful to Gail for giving him the most wonderful final years he deserved.

Purrci, the clinic, and the world won't be the same without you. Thank you for your unconditional love and for being such a special part of our Wise and Wonderful family.
