For those who would like to follow the 2026 CA state budget and how it is projected to affect the special needs community. Here is a place to learn more about it.

Join DRC for an important town hall to learn more about the Governor's 2026 State Budget! DRC staff will share their analysis of the disability-related proposals across health care, employment, education, and regional centers.

Governor Newsom released the 2026-2027 state budget at the start of January. The budget contains the state's policy priorities for the upcoming year. Many of these priorities affect people with disabilities.

This town hall will share the latest analysis of budget proposals in several areas, including:

- IHSS and other long-term services and supports
- Mental health
- Education
- The regional center system

We will share advocacy opportunities to elevate disability community voices during the budget process.
