As we welcome the year ahead, we want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible work our staff does every day for our residents. Today we had a heartwarming Thanksgiving celebration with our residents! They enjoyed some delicious seasonal treats, shared memories of past family feasts, and everyone got to say what they're thankful for this year. It was all about gratitude and good company!

🗣 "My husband has been attending the adult daycare program at friendship house for over six months now. He comes home every day and has new things to share with me about the people and activities he enjoys during the day. He is particularly excited about the “VR” program where the participants visit various locations world-wide via virtual reality headsets. He says it's like taking a trip and never leaving your seat!

As a caretaker, Friendship House provides me with time necessary to complete daily tasks, attend appointments and even occasionally socialize with friends. I have the peace of mind knowing that he is receiving the best of care, has activities that activate his mind and above all, he is safe.
