This Patient Experience Week đź’š, we're celebrating the people who make care more compassionate every day.

One example: the Comfort Cart, created by Patient Advocate and Experience Coordinator Kellie Trudeau and supported by the Adirondack Health Foundation. The cart is stocked with small but meaningful essentials and rolled through inpatient floors and the ICU, offering patients and families a little extra support.

It's a simple idea but one that brings comfort and connection when it's needed most.

2026 Summer Gala tickets are on sale now.

Our biggest fundraising event of the year will return on Saturday, July 11, at the McKenzie Wilderness Estate in Ray Brook.

This year's Dr. E.L. Trudeau Award will honor Dr. Christopher Hyson, who dedicated so many years here to caring for our community.

Seeing what matters most

In our lab at Adirondack Health, answers begin long before a diagnosis is spoken.

Thanks to donor support, a new advanced microscope is helping our clinical team see with greater clarity—detecting infections, inflammation, and early signs of serious conditions with more confidence than ever before.

For our lab professionals, this isn’t just equipment—it’s insight. It’s faster answers. It’s better care.

Because of you, we can see more clearly—and care more confidently.

Many supporters don’t realize retirement assets can be one of the most impactful ways to support rural health.

Naming Adirondack Health Foundation as a beneficiary is often simple and can align with thoughtful financial planning.

If you’d like a confidential conversation, we’re here. Call 518-897-2348 or email jbalog@adirondackhealth.org.

You may not always see them, but you rely on them.

Medical Laboratory Professionals are the hidden heroes of healthcare, providing the critical information that powers diagnoses, treatments, and lifesaving decisions every single day.

This Lab Week, we’re proud to recognize their expertise and the essential role they play in caring for our community.

Here’s what that impact looks like through the eyes of a patient:
"I want to praise and commend the medical laboratory staff, phlebotomists, clinical and pathology laboratory scientists, technicians, and administrative staff, who work mostly in the background, out of the public eye. These dedicated men and women are trained and educated to perform complex procedures under stress. They apply their expertise to ensure quality and timely results for diagnoses, monitoring of disease states, and maintenance of complex instrumentation. The Mayo Clinic states that laboratory test results inform 70% of medical decisions. Laboratory science is a noble profession that receives little thanks from the public, precisely because other medical professions work directly with patients themselves, not with their blood and body fluids. I believe every tube of blood and every human specimen is a real patient, deserving of respect. That same respect belongs to the loyal, intelligent, caring laboratory staff who work behind the scenes, carefully analyzing those precious specimens. Thank you!"

April is Parkinson’s Awareness Month.

At Adirondack Health’s Medical Fitness Center, we’re proud to support individuals living with Parkinson’s disease, bringing specialized support closer to home.

Our vision for Parkinson’s-specific programming came into focus when two individuals shared how much our facility helped them manage their symptoms. Today, four certified exercise specialists provide targeted support, and with funding from the Parkinson’s Foundation, we’ve expanded the program while removing barriers to care in our rural community.

Since launching, we’ve delivered 450+ one-on-one sessions, expanded to group programs, and introduced caregiver support.

Together, we’re improving quality of life and proving that exercise is medicine.
