It's hard to explain...but I try as this unusual nerve pain is different than plain sciatic irritation. In thesd posssibly rare cases the upper healthy nerve (usually in the spinal cord unblemished) can't find the signal from the lower nerve to "keep it occupied". Therefore it amps up it's signal receiving property and since it can't hear the daged lower nerve it starts to hear other miscellandous even normal signals like bowel peristalsis and may interpret thosde normal signals as PAIN!! Bummer!!
