As we move through the holiday season and prepare to wrap up our current session in early January, I’m opening enrollment for our next 6-week program at Mindset Movement Academy, beginning January 14 ✨

This upcoming session, DreamPower, is a hands-on enrichment experience where kids engage with meaningful stories, movement, and creative art in ways that feel playful, supportive, and age-appropriate. Each week includes listening to inspiring stories, moving their bodies through intentional activities, and creating art that helps ideas come to life in a fun, accessible way 🤸‍♀️📖🎨

Children are gently introduced to mindset tools such as visualization, goal setting, affirmations, and gratitude through experience rather than formal lessons. These experiences introduce mindset skills children can carry with them as they grow, helping them understand how their thoughts, imagination, and choices shape what’s possible.

This is a small-group environment designed to support the whole child and create space for curiosity, creativity, and inner growth, all while keeping things engaging and enjoyable 💛

🗓 Session Details:
• Starts: January 14th - Feb 20th
• Meets: 1 day/week on Wednesdays, Thursdays or Fridays
• Time: 10-1pm
• Ages: 6-13

🌟 Enrollment is now open
📩 Send me a message if this feels like a good fit for your child or if you’d like to reserve a spot

Kids don’t need more sitting. They need intentional movement.

When kids get to create the game, listen for cues, move with intention, and adjust as they go, they’re building far more than physical skills.

These kinds of movement experiences support focus, emotional regulation, confidence, and connection — all while staying playful and low-pressure.

This is how learning sticks at Mindset Movement Academy.

✨ Our next session begins January 14.

🔥 Confidence isn’t something kids are born with — it’s something their brain learns.

Every encouraging moment, every small success, every helpful thought…
it all wires together to form a neural pattern that says,
“I can do this.”

Most of us grew up never learning this.
We thought confidence was something you either had — or didn’t.
But when kids understand that confidence is actually built inside the brain,
something powerful shifts.

They stop thinking they’re “not good at things,”
and start realizing,
“My brain can learn this.”

And that’s why this work means so much.
When children learn how their mind supports them,
they begin to step into their future with more hope, more courage,
and more trust in who they’re becoming. 💛

If this resonates with you, keep an eye out for my next post announcing our next 6-week session — DreamPower — beginning January 14th:
a beautiful journey into possibility and vision that supports children in understanding their mind, their dreams, and the future they choose to create. 🌿✨

✨ What happens when a mindset story turns into a sweet tiny holiday village? 🏡🍭🎄

This week, our learners explored the story of Canville and Can’tville — two towns shaped entirely by the beliefs of the people who lived there.

In Can’tville, people stopped after one failed attempt.
In Canville, trying again was how new ideas came to life.
Everything changed when two children from each town met in the forest and discovered how differently they viewed challenges, and what they believed they were capable of.

Instead of just listening, the kids brought the story to life by creating both towns in 3D edible art.
As they built roads, bridges, lights, signs, and tiny landscapes, something deeper unfolded:

✨ They saw how “I can’t” stops growth
✨ They felt how “I can try” opens new possibilities
✨ They explored how beliefs shape action
✨ They experienced confidence taking shape right in front of them

Seeing the towns side by side made the mindset lesson click in the sweetest, most magical way.

💙 Dream Power Program begins January 14 — a creative, inspiring experience where kids explore their dreams, imagine new possibilities for their future, and learn gentle practices like visualization that help them believe in what’s possible for themselves.

💫 Mindset Monday: The Science Behind Why We Use Stories

One of the most powerful and meaningful parts of our program is the way we use stories to help kids understand and remember important mindset skills. Stories take concepts that can feel big or abstract — like courage, perseverance, or self-leadership — and make them relatable, memorable, and fun for kids to explore.

And there’s real brain science behind why stories work so well:

🧠 1. Stories activate multiple parts of the brain

Listening to a story lights up the language centers, the emotional centers, the memory centers — even the areas related to movement and sensory experience.
More of the brain engaged = deeper learning.

✨ 2. Stories simplify big ideas

Kids learn best when they can see a concept in action.
Through characters, challenges, and choices, stories help them understand mindset tools in a way that feels real and meaningful.

❤️ 3. Stories are unforgettable

Emotion boosts memory.
Stories naturally spark feelings — curiosity, empathy, surprise, excitement — which helps the lesson stick long-term.

🔗 4. Stories create connection

Kids often see themselves in the characters.
When they relate to the story, they’re more likely to remember the tools and use them in their own lives.

🌱 5. This is why we use the Adventures in Wisdom® curriculum

Story-based learning gives children a safe and engaging way to explore real-life situations, reflect on choices, and build confidence from the inside out.

Stories → Movement → Art → Reflection
This is how mindset skills become lifelong skills.

I’m especially excited for this week! I’ve got some brand-new movement games ready to go and a festive holiday twist for our creative project that ties beautifully into our story. It’s going to be fun, meaningful, and full of those “aha!” moments where mindset skills truly come alive. I can't wait to jump into it! 🤩

It’s incredible what kids absorb through stories, creativity, and play.

During these first two weeks, we focused on two foundational mindset skills:
building positive self-esteem and honoring our unique gifts.

Our first story introduced the idea that how we speak to ourselves matters — and that developing positive self-esteem helps us feel worthy, capable, and confident.
Our second story reminded the kids that everyone brings different strengths to the world and that no one’s gifts are better or less than anyone else’s.

Through creative self-portraits and our Gift of Me activity, the kids explored these ideas in simple, hands-on ways. It’s been a joy watching them recognize their strengths and express themselves with confidence.

We’ve loved welcoming new families and reconnecting with returning students.
Such a beautiful beginning to this new session and so grateful. ✨️

We can’t change our own childhoods, but we can shape theirs. 💛

So many adults spend years healing their inner child — imagine if our kids didn’t have to.

When kids learn how their thoughts and beliefs shape their world early on, they don’t have to spend adulthood undoing it all.
They grow up knowing their worth, trusting their voice, and believing they’re enough — before the world tells them otherwise.

That’s why nurturing mindset in childhood matters. It’s not about fixing kids — it’s about giving them what we all needed growing up: tools to handle life with confidence, courage, and inner strength. 🌱

💭 Drop a ❤️ if this is what you wish every child could learn.

11/09/2025

💭 If kids could learn to stand up for what’s right instead of just fitting in… imagine the world we’d live in.

So many kids today feel pressure to fit in, copy others, or second-guess themselves.

Our Inner Power program teaches them something different — how to trust their own inner compass.

Over six weeks, we explored respect, self-respect, integrity, decision-making, and peer pressure awareness — skills that help kids make choices they’re proud of and stand strong in who they are.

🎨 Our final project, the Compass Canvas, captured it all — a reminder that the best direction doesn’t come from the crowd… it comes from within.

❤️ Let your heart be your compass, your mind, your map, your soul, your guide, and you will never get lost.

✨ Next 6-week session begins Nov 12 — a few spots open!

There’s something so beautiful about watching kids find balance — with each other and within themselves. 💛

The wobbles, the laughter, the trust it takes to hold each other steady — these moments are movement with meaning.

Movement, creativity, and mindset — it all comes together here. We keep it fun, hands-on, and heart-centered, because kids learn best when they’re feeling it, not just hearing it. 🌿

From partner yoga that builds trust and teamwork to mindful clay projects that remind kids to fill their own cups and honor their self-worth — every experience helps them grow stronger from the inside out, learning to trust their own inner wisdom along the way.

✨ Enrollment for the next session is almost full — message me to save your spot today!
