Event Spotlight: Healing Body, Mind & Spirit at A Journey From Grief Toward Joy

Join us June 13–15 at the Venice Community Center for A Journey From Grief Toward Joy, a heartfelt event designed for widows and widowers seeking hope, healing, and renewal after loss.

We’re honored to feature a powerful lineup of speakers who bring unique wisdom and healing:

Dr. Diane Stewart, DC — An alternative holistic chiropractor and international speaker with over 30 years of experience, Dr. Stewart will explore how grief physically impacts the body—from muscle tension and digestive issues to fatigue and heart symptoms—and how holistic chiropractic care can support your healing journey.

Rosemary Altea — Renowned medium and healer, Rosemary offers spiritual insights and messages of comfort from the other side to help you reconnect with your loved ones.

Chaplain Jack Giddens — A compassionate spiritual guide who provides meaningful support and guidance to help you find peace and strength.

John Ferrari Jr., ESQ — A caring legal expert who helps navigate the practical challenges of loss, providing clarity and support.

Kristine Benevento — A peer mentor, death literacy specialist, and healer who, having faced the loss of her own spouse, has found a way forward and now supports others through their grief journeys with empathy and wisdom.

Together, this team offers a full spectrum of healing—practical, emotional, spiritual, and physical—to help you reclaim hope and joy.

Don’t miss Dr. Diane Stewart’s session on June 15, from 10 AM to 1 PM, where she’ll share her expert knowledge on the mind-body connection during grief and offer tools for healing.

How to stay protected:

Rule
#1. Know that your hands are clean
Become super vigilant about knowing where your hands are at
all times. If you touch anything outside your house/home environment, you need
to wash your hands or use a hand sanitizer (you only need a drop or 2) before
touching and after. Use wipes on gas pumps, grocery carts, door handles,
counters, credit card machines, pens, bags at the supermarket, etc. Clean your
phone and put it on speaker so you don’t touch your face.

Rule #2. DO NOT TOUCH YOUR FACE!!

We do not realize how often we touch our face, eyes, nose
mouth. Practice this at home, perhaps wearing a mask. It has even been suggested to wear a mask when we go out of the house, so we don’t touch our face.

Rule #3.
You Don’t Need an N95 Mask.

These are needed by our health care practitioners that are
taking care of Covid-19 patients. If you have one or 2, use them but please
donate the rest to those caretakers in need. The way this virus is spread is
through droplets that are spread through touch or having close contact with no
protection with an infected person for 15-30 minutes. You should not have any
prolonged contact if you are not in healthcare and especially if you are at risk.

Rule #4. Practice Social Distancing

Staying 6 feet away from someone also keeps you safe as this
virus is not easily aerosolized.
