James is a board-certified physician assistant. Born in Brooklyn, he moved to Florida around 2002 after a family vacation to Sarasota introduced him to the area.
His pursuit of higher education was inspired by a family trip to Vietnam in 2011, where witnessing the healthcare system and living conditions sparked a deep desire to make a positive impact in medicine. After graduating from the Physical Therapist Assistant program at State College of Florida, he still felt called to do more and enrolled at the University of South Florida to study Biology. He continued his studies at Barry University, completing his master’s in physician assistant studies. Since then, he has been a practicing spine PA in Sarasota.
He and his wife, also a Physician Assistant, met during their time in school. As newlyweds, they are looking forward to having children and raising their Vietnamese-Cuban family in Sarasota. They are grateful to have their families nearby.
