Aging is an interesting proposition. I’ve spent the past couple years wondering about it and kind of fearing it, I suppose. But it’s okay. It really is. I look halfway decent. I feel pretty good. Lucy burrows. She’s got a lot of chihuahua in her, which explains the burrowing, but she has a lot of stress during the day: she has to guard the house from the invading Amazon and UPS hordes. Plus, her favorite human has been gone for a couple years (okay, eleven days, but ten years in dog time). And she’s a little dog, and little dogs have the inequities and encroachments of life. They don’t really even have bodily autonomy. Poor little Boo Boo Bear.
