Sertoma Kids, Inc. Imagine a brilliant young child with great potential. She already has profound ideas for real and lasting improvements to our society. Sertoma Kids, Inc.

Sertoma Kids Inc is a non-profit therapy clinic serving our community since 1959 by providing affordable and accessible outpatient speech, language and literacy services to children in Sarasota and surrounding counties. But she is unable to tell others about them. Perhaps the way she speaks causes others to take her ideas less seriously. Perhaps the way she speaks has caused the adults to label her in a way that tears her down, rather than builds her up. Perhaps those labels become self-fulfilling prophecies. Her life – our world – could have been better if she had only been given a chance. allows kids facing communication challenges to overcome those challenges, and to live their lives to full potential. Communication skills will become even more important in our post-industrial world. We know there is great need for this service. We have already helped hundreds of kids and their families. We are anxious to expand our scope so that we can better address this need. We have a very engaged board of directors, great volunteers, and excellent speech language pathologists. We all work together to reach our vision - a community where children facing communication challenges need not go without help or support. Where those kids can focus on growing and learning, rather than withdrawing. Please join us.
