If you’re TTC, start here⬇
A fertility grocery list.

It’s about steady nourishment, not a complete overhaul.
Balanced blood sugar.
Enough protein (aim for at least 100g per day)
Healthy fats.
Minerals that support ovulation and hormone rhythm.

Your body doesn’t need perfection, just consistency.

Save this or take a screenshot for your next grocery run!

It’s about giving your body support, clarity, and time if adjustments are needed.

You don’t have to do everything.
You just get to make informed, gentle choices.
From a place of knowledge and education instead of guesswork.

Save this for when you’re preparing for pregnancy and follow along with for our gentle preconception series 🤍

Midwifery is made of the quiet, sacred moments. The soft listening. The steady presence. The deep trust.

It is care that empowers birthers to meet themselves at the edge where strength, surrender, and intuition live side by side.

As a midwife, my life has been forever changed by the care I get to give. By the honor of holding people tenderly through one of the most transformative seasons of their lives.

Midwifery is not about leading the way. It’s about walking beside you, listening deeply, and trusting the wisdom you already carry

Your thoughts matter in preconception.

Affirmations help shift you out of stress and into trust. A regulated, supported body can be more receptive than one living under pressure and fear.

Which one is your favorite? Would you recommend any others?

If you’re thinking about pregnancy in the next few months, these are some foundational supplements I recommend starting before conception:

✨ Vitamin D – supports hormone balance, immune health, and healthy implantation
✨ CoQ10 – supports cellular energy and egg quality (especially helpful if you’re 30+)
✨ Omega-3s (DHA/EPA) – crucial for egg quality, brain development, and reducing inflammation
✨ A high-quality prenatal – because not all prenatals are created equal

When choosing a prenatal, look for:
• Active folate (5-MTHF) instead of synthetic folic acid
• Iron that’s gentle and bioavailable (or iron-free if appropriate for you)
• Choline (often missing, but so important for brain development)
• Iodine for thyroid and hormone support
• Minimal fillers, dyes, and additives
• Third-party testing or high-quality sourcing

Supplements don’t replace nourishment, rest, or nervous system care, but they do support the foundation you’re already building.

Always individualize and loop in your provider when needed 🤍
Your body deserves preparation, not pressure.

✨ Midwife vs. Doula: what’s the difference?
They’re often talked about together, but they have very different (and beautifully complementary) roles.

A MIDWIFE
• Is a medical provider
• Provides prenatal care & postpartum care
• Monitors the health of the birthing parent & baby
• Manages labor, birth, and medical decision-making
• Performs medical procedures, orders labs, and catches the baby

A DOULA
• Is non-medical support
• Provides continuous emotional & physical support
• Helps with comfort measures, positioning & coping tools
• Supports informed decision-making
• Supports the birthing person and their partner
• Stays focused on your experience

✨ The Similarity
Both are there to support physiologic birth, informed choice, and autonomy.

✨ The Magic
A midwife focuses on clinical safety.
A doula focuses on you.
Together, they support both outcomes and experience.

You don’t have to choose one or the other; sometimes the best care is a team!

A while ago, in a prenatal, I was describing training discomfort in our bodies in preparation for labor, i.e., holding ice cubes, moving your body to discomfort, etc.

And I almost said, "basically we just dissociate." I paused, almost horrified with myself, because why would I have thought to say that?

Fast forward a few weeks, and I have words for what I was thinking and feeling in that moment. It's not dissociation, it's embodied withdrawal.

Birth asks us to get comfortable being uncomfortable. Not by escaping sensation, but by meeting it with presence. When the thinking mind quiets and the body takes over, something powerful happens, you remember that you were built for this.

Getting your body ready for pregnancy starts before the positive test 🤍
Inspired by It Starts With the Egg, here are 7 gentle, powerful ways to support your body in the preconception season:

1️⃣ Move your body
Choose movement that feels supportive, not punishing. Walking, strength training, yoga, and mobility all help with circulation, hormone balance, and stress.

2️⃣ Switch to low-tox living
Reduce exposure to endocrine disruptors by swapping plastics, fragrances, and harsh cleaners for glass, stainless steel, and cleaner products.

3️⃣ Take a high-quality prenatal
A well-formulated prenatal supports egg health and nutrient stores before pregnancy begins.

4️⃣ Eat for fertility
Think protein, healthy fats, fiber, and mineral-rich foods. Stabilizing blood sugar supports hormones and ovulation.

5️⃣ Prioritize sleep & stress reduction
Rest is not optional. Deep sleep and nervous system support protect egg quality and overall hormonal health.

6️⃣ Limit inflammatory exposures
Reduce alcohol, smoking, ultra-processed foods, and excess caffeine to lower oxidative stress.

7️⃣ Give yourself time
Eggs take about 3–4 months to develop. What you do now matters for the pregnancy you want later.

✨ Preconception is preparation, not perfection.
Save this, share it, and come back to it when you’re planning your next chapter
