Our Malta residents spent the afternoon watercolor painting, and it was just a nice, easygoing activity to do together. We focused on our paintings, tried different colors, and enjoyed having a little creative time as a group.

As we head into the holiday season, we’re proud to once again be a Marine Toys for Tots Foundation Toys for Tots drop-off site across all five of our Home of the Good Shepherd communities.

Each building has its own collection dates and deadlines, so please check with your specific community if you’d like to donate.

Thank you for helping us bring a little extra joy to children in our community this holiday season.

Our Moreau residents kicked off their WISE (Wellness Initiative for Senior Education) program last week with Lori from the Council for Prevention, Inc. .The first session was a great mix of conversation and learning, covering common myths about aging, ways to stay healthy and connected, and simple steps to support overall well-being.

Everyone enjoyed it, and we’re already looking forward to what Lori will share with us this week!

Our 400 Church Street community had a wonderful visit this week from the Saratoga Regional YMCA's classes. The children and residents spent the morning making Thanksgiving placemats and crafts together.

It was such a sweet way to kick off the holiday season and a reminder of how special these moments can be. Thank you to the families, teachers, and little ones for spending time with us!

Our 400 Church Street residents wanted to show their appreciation this week, so they hosted a special “Staff-giving” luncheon to celebrate our amazing team.

Our kitchen staff put together a homestyle Thanksgiving meal with mashed potatoes, gravy, pumpkin pie, and all the fixings and the residents even gave little treats and baked cookies. But the best part of all was the smiles and the chance to spend time together.

We are truly grateful for the residents in all of our communities and thankful to be part of their extended family, today and throughout the holiday season.

Our Wilton community had a great visit today from the Hill Country Cloggers — their first time performing here, and the residents absolutely loved them.

They brought so much energy, danced with the residents, and had the whole room clapping along. One highlight was their rendition of YMCA, where everyone jumped right in, arms up making the Y, M, C, and A and singing along.

It was such a fun afternoon, and we’re really grateful to the Hill Country Cloggers for spending the day with us. We hope they’ll come back again soon!
