THE MISSION CONTINUES
At Prestwick Chase, we’ve often been called a "cruise ship in dry dock"—a place where comfort, care, and community come together. Our mission has always been and will always be to provide a true home, where everyone is more than just a number—they’re part of our family.
The unexpected loss of our CEO, Fred McNeary Jr., was a profound one for both our team and the larger community. While we may never fully understand why such things happen, we do know this: Fred’s vision for a unique, welcoming community in the Capital District lives on. His legacy is one of unwavering dedication, and we’re honored to continue the work he started. As Fred would expect, we are committed to carrying forward the beautiful community his family has built.
As we move forward, we are fortunate to have Kellie Postlethwaite, who has worked alongside Fred and our team for 20 years, step into the role of General Manager. Kellie is dedicated to leading our "ship" with the same passion and purpose that Fred instilled in us all.
The question we ask ourselves is: How do we know we’re doing it right? It’s not just about numbers or financial success—it’s about the way we bring joy, show appreciation, and offer care to those we serve.
This week, Kellie was honored with an award from The Academy for Lifelong Learning in Saratoga Springs, recognizing Fred’s lasting impact on the senior community. The award is a reminder of the excellence Fred championed, and a reflection of the commitment Kellie will continue to uphold. We are deeply grateful for this recognition and remain steadfast in our dedication to this important work.
Together, we move forward—honoring Fred’s vision and continuing to build a place where everyone feels like family.
