🌟 Saratoga Center for the Family at the NYSCA Leadership Conference! 🌟

Today, our team attended and presented at the NYSCA Leadership Conference in Albany, NY!

Our Therapist and Clinical Program Development Coordinator Vicki Braunstein, along with nutritionist Keira Kenyon, led an engaging workshop on “Integrating Nutrient-Rich Food into Mental Health Services.” 🍎🥦

Additionally, our Outreach and Education Director Derek Tefft and Associate Executive Director Jennifer Wormley represented Saratoga Center for the Family on the “Leading Together” panel discussion, highlighting our education and outreach programming. 💬✨

We’re proud to share our innovative work and collaborate with others across New York State to strengthen families and communities through education, advocacy, and mental health treatment. 💙

Today our team is wearing purple in honor of Go Purple Day — also known as Purple Thursday — a national day of action held each October during Domestic Violence Awareness Month. 💜

We stand in solidarity with survivors and all those with lived experience of domestic violence, and we’re proud to join our partners at Wellspring Saratoga and others across the Capital Region in raising awareness, promoting safety, and showing our shared commitment to a future free from violence.

Remembering Amy Radik

Saratoga Center for the Family is deeply saddened to share the passing of our Development Coordinator, Amy Radik.

For the past seven years, Amy dedicated herself to raising funds and building community partnerships in support of the Center’s mission. She was the life of every event she planned for the Center, bringing warmth, joy, and energy to all who attended. Her work strengthened vital programs for children and families, and her impact will be felt for years to come.

Amy faced an eight-year battle with cancer with courage, grace, and perseverance. Even through the most difficult times, she remained steadfast in her commitment to serving others, leaving a legacy of compassion, resilience, and generosity.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Amy’s family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be profoundly missed by her colleagues and the many community members whose lives she touched.

Amy’s legacy will live on through Saratoga Center for the Family.

📣 Big news for children in Saratoga County! The newly passed NYS budget includes $14.46 million in funding for Child Advocacy Centers across the state—our first state increase in over a decade!

We’re grateful to Governor Kathy Hochul and the NYS Legislature for recognizing the importance of supporting children impacted by abuse. This funding will strengthen the work of CACs throughout NY—including right here in our community.

Thank you to New York State Children's Alliance, Inc. and CACs across the state for their efforts. Together, we’re making sure every child has a path to safety, healing, and justice. 💙

The New York State budget has passed, and it includes $14.46 million for Child Advocacy Centers (CACs)!This is the first increase we’ve seen from the state since 2014.

Thank you, Governor Kathy Hochul and the NYS legislature, for passing this budget increase for NYS Child Advocacy Centers and the most vulnerable in the state—the children!

This remarkable achievement is a direct result of NYSCA’s and the CACs relentless commitment to protecting and healing children.

Today is Blue Friday New York.

We proudly stand with our law enforcement partners on this day of honor and remembrance. Blue Friday is dedicated to recognizing the brave individuals in law enforcement who have been injured or killed in the line of duty — and those who continue to serve our communities with courage and compassion.

Our Child Advocacy Center program works hand-in-hand with local law enforcement every day to protect children, seek justice, and bring healing to families. We are deeply grateful for their dedication, not just in times of crisis, but in the quiet moments when they show up for a child in need.
