For the second year in a row, the Prevention Council and Healing Springs Recovery Community & Outreach Center have come together to donate winter jackets to participants in the Reentry Program at the Saratoga County Correctional Facility.

This meaningful collaboration helps support individuals transitioning back into the community by ensuring they have warm clothing for the winter months.

We’re grateful to the Saratoga County Sheriff's Office for their partnership and continued commitment to supporting positive reentry efforts in our community.

As part of yesterday’s Student Leadership Conference, the students were asked to create a social norming campaign and bring these ideas to their schools to share throughout the year with the rest of the student body.

Social norming campaigns can be described as looking to shift the focus from the neg*tive or scary part of something such as data points for youth substance use and instead normalize either the positive or reduction of a certain statistic or action.

Check out some of the amazing ideas the student groups came up with!

Tomorrow is Drug Take Back Day! Reminder to g*t Eid of your unused medications safely!

🗓️The DEA Drug Take Back Day is this Saturday, 10/25, from 10:00 AM-2:00 PM.

🚯Proper disposal of medications (and syringes) ensures that they are not accidentally touched, ingested, or misused.

💊If unable to make a semi-annual Drug Take Back Day, at-home pouches (like Deterra Drug Deactivation System) allow for safe disposal of liquids, pills, and/or patches that are unwanted, unused, or expired.

📌To find participating Drug Take Back Day locations across Saratoga County, please visit: https://www.dea.gov/takebackday.
