update: Reagen says Happy News Years🎉 and she likes the way the New Year started. 1/1 we were back at Monterey Bay area Scent club trial in Monterey for Advance searches. Well, she is happy to say that she has now earned her new Title "Scent Work Advance", she needed one more pass in Exterior, which she got. She also Qualified in Advance Buried and Advance interior towards her Advance Elite Title. Big congrats to this 15 year old wonder🎉👏😁

12/31 at the Monterey Bay Area Scent Work Club, in Monterey, 15 year old "Reagen" does it again. She took 3rd in Exterior Novice Elite to make that #11 pass and took 2nd in Novice Handle discrimination for her 4th pass towards her Elite title. Tomorrow is another day for her in the Advance.....if she can pull off her third pass in Exterior she could have a new title again. I am still so amazed at this Senior Citizen.

Schuyler Blue has bounced back from her pregnancy and delivery in June to return to scent work. 12/31 was her first day back on Team PVR scentwork. She had her fifth pass in Novice Buried towards her Elite Title and her first pass in Interior Novice. When we went to Novice Container, it was in the music room, which was too much stimuli. She saw all the instruments, and I swear I couldn't get her to focus on the boxes; she was more interested in playing the drums, maybe in a different doggie life she played the drums in a doggie band🤣🤣🤣

Update: I was told as both Winnie and her mom went down to the baggage claim area to meet a relative flying in after their therapy work, Winnie got the scent of a passenger coming to pick up her baggage holding a bird cage. In front of everyone in the baggage claim area the bird dog kicks in and Winnie performs a beautiful point. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 No matter what always a bird dog in camouflage in this case wearing a therapy vest.🤣🤣

Here is "Winnie" working today at the San Jose Airport doing what she does best bringing tail and butt wiggles to all who would love to experience them. She is sporting her new vest showing she is part of the San Jose Airport Therapy Animal Team. I am very proud of her newly recognized Title. Yesterday was the first puppy social for the "Thanksgiving litter", they went to visit Aunt Cori at her house. They just turned one month, but they need people to play with them and hold them. Mommy came along to make sure we had milk available if the group got hungry. Here the milk train is being used in between play time. The cuddle pictures are of Aunt Cori cuddling with baby "Biscuit". The other shows little Mini me "Butterball" being cuddled.You can see the same markings on the head next to her mom "Vixen" her body is the same color even the coloration on the tail. It's just amazing how genetics can be duplicated🥰 The pups were exhausted after their excursion but worth every moment ❤️

This past Monday was the last day to complete the "Turkey Trot Run or Walk" towards a AKC FIT Dog Title of Bronze, Silver or Gold. Well, I have been doing a lot of walking and running in the 2 months 💪,with my dogs to add titles on some, and first title on others. When I got done I realized that it was a lot of work, but the pups enjoyed themselves. It is a great walk for your Seniors to add to old titles and at the same time get those couch/bed muscles working again.
The results are the following new Fit Dog Titles:

Well, I got a tap on my shoulder with a small paw and it was "Mustang", asking why I had not posted her accomplishments for last Sunday's Scent Trial at Del Monte Kennel Club in Pacific Grove. She says she has harder classes to test😖 and she is right.👍
One thing I can say about Mustang and the tests she completed, is if I was ever lost just bring Mustang and she would find me. Mustang passed for the fifth time her Advance Handler Discrimination, working on her Advance Elite Title. Plus, passing the fourth time her Excellent Handler Discrimination going for her Excellent Handler Elite title. Both are tests where a cotton ball with my scent is hidden inside a room for advance and outside for excellent, in both cases she has to find the cotton ball in a certain amount of time, plus there is also the scent of the judge in the area or in a different box.
Mustang passed with a 5th/6th placements. Plus, she passed her 5th Excellent container search towards her Container Elite Excellent title. So, yes she is right, she does have harder tests.
That same day, she finished her second part of her 3.1+ Turkey Trot 2025 towards her Fit Dog Gold. I am very proud of this little 31 lbs girl AKA "Alien child"🤣 🎉👏 We walked the ocean path at Pacific Grove for her “Turkey Trot”

One of the adoptive parents of the August Nights litter, I wanted to congratulate him on how well he is working with his pup🎉👏. The pup known as "Hudson" from the litter who is now named "Kai" and will be 4 months on 12/12/25. He just loves that he is so smart.😁 I am impressed that the pup is attentive at this age and has learned these skills. It shows that there is a great bond going with pup and parent 👍😁

Well, this Senior does it again. Just 6 days before her 15 year old birthday 12/14/2010, comes home with more qualifying ribbons and 3 more titles in the scent world.
Scent Work Novice Elite SWNE
Scent Exterior Novice Elite SENE
Scent Handler Discrimination Novice SHDN
Qualified in Scent Novice Exterior and took 4th place
Qualified in Scent Handler Discrimination and took 3rd place
Qualified in Advance Interior #5 towards her Elite
For a dog to get Elite in a Scent category they need to past and qualify 40 tests. That means 10 interior, 10 exterior, 10 container and 10 for buried. This girl has done this for Novice. She had one more pass in Exterior Advance before receiving her advance title. She is always up scent work and dragging me to the line🤣🤣🤣. Hopefully, I will have many more birthday for her to move herself up the ladder of Scent.
She is also now working on her FIT G. They say her FIT S is in the mail.🎁
