Will blepharoplasty get rid of your wrinkles? 👀

Short answer: no. And here’s why:

Upper and lower eyelid surgery is designed to remove excess skin — which can soften certain lines — but it doesn’t treat fine wrinkles caused by skin texture and movement.

⚠️ Why post-op precautions matter ⚠️

This patient presented with right browplasty wound dehiscence after rubbing, pulling, or tugging the incision site just 2½ weeks post-op. This is a reminder that even when healing looks well underway, the wound is still vulnerable.

That’s why we stress precautions for a full 6 weeks after surgery to protect healing tissue and prevent complications like wound separation.

Healing takes patience, and following post-op instructions is just as important as the surgery itself.
