There’s a reason honey has been used for thousands of years... Not just as a sweetener, but as medicine.
Raw, local honey is rich in antioxidants, supports the immune system, and can even help soothe a lingering cough or irritated throat. It’s also thought to help the body adapt to seasonal allergies by gently exposing you to local pollen.
One of my favorite simple rituals this time of year is warm (not hot) water with honey and a little lemon. It’s calming, nourishing, and gives your body a gentle boost... Especially when you’re feeling run down and the coffee stops working.
In Chinese medicine, honey is known for its ability to tonify the body, moisten dryness, and support the lungs and digestion. It’s a small, everyday way to care for yourself that really adds up over time.
And sometimes, your body needs a little extra support.
That’s where acupuncture comes in.
Acupuncture works on a deeper level to regulate the immune system, reduce inflammation, and help your body return to balance, especially during seasonal transitions when we tend to get sick more easily.
If you’ve been feeling off, run down, or like your body could use a reset, I’d love to help.
