It is with both gratitude and remembrance that we share the passing of our dear tenant, Evelyn “Evie” Accola. Evie was a lifelong teacher whose impact reached far beyond the classroom. Even late in life, former students continued to visit her. There were many stories telling of the difference she made 30, 40, and even 50 years after being in her class. Her kindness, patience, and dedication to education left a lasting mark on countless lives.
In honor of Evie’s legacy, her family has graciously donated $1,000 to Maplewood Village. She will continue impacting lives with this gift. We are deeply thankful for the generous gift and the trust it represents.
To reflect Evie’s lifelong commitment to education, this donation will be used to support ongoing staff education, particularly in medication administration and other areas that strengthen the quality of care we provide. In this way, Evie’s passion for teaching will continue to live on. She will be helping educate those who care for others each day.
We are honored to have known Evie and to have been part of her life. Her legacy of learning, compassion, and dedication will remain a meaningful part of Maplewood Village.
