The staff at Weber and Devers Psychological Services would like to make everyone aware that the safety and health of our clients remain our top priorities. As the Upper Peninsula moves toward the reopening of many businesses, we would like our clients and the community to know that we remain open and able to serve our clients via telemedicine and are continuing to move toward reopening our office more fully in the safest ways possible.
We appreciate how difficult the quarantine has been on everyone, as well as the anxiety and sadness many are struggling with in regard to the current situation. We would like everyone to know that we remain available to our clients and plan to continue moving toward complete reopening of our office. We are eager to resume full operation as soon as possible, as safely as possible. If you are struggling and interested in services, please call us at (906) 635-7270 for a confidential intake.
As we adjust our office flow to support recommendations by the CDC, we ask for your patience and understanding as we move through difference phases of reopening.
Here’s what you can expect from Weber and Devers Psychological Services during this time:
1. We ask, if possible, for clients to remain in their cars and call our main number to check in for their appointment. Your therapist will then walk out to greet you for your appointment.
2. Hand sanitizer and masks are available to our clients, and our clients are encouraged to utilize these options. Please know that our staff will continue to wipe down and sanitize our office as often as possible.
3. The temperature of our staff will be taken each day to ensure that they are healthy enough to work with our clients.
4. We ask that during this time, any individuals accompanying you to your appointment wait in the car until your appointment is over to help us limit the number of people in the office at any one time.
5. We ask that if you are feeling ill or believe that you have come into contact with someone who has the corona virus, that you do not enter the office and instead call to reschedule your appointment.
6. We will continue to offer telemedicine visits while we monitor the safety of our area.
We remain committed to utilizing any and all precautions to ensure the health and safety of our clients and staff. We look forward to moving toward a full reopening of our office and seeing all of our clients in person again as soon as safely possible.

Just a reminder that during this time of concern about the coronavirus, Weber and Devers will be offering telemedicine.
Weber and Devers Psychological Services is currently accepting new clients for telemedicine and at this time we are able to provide Mental Status Exams, Substance Abuse Evaluations, and basic psychosocial clinical interviews to provide diagnostic and treatment recommendation via video conferencing through a HIPAA compliant platform. Additionally, as appropriate, we are offering outpatient therapy via Telemedicine on this platform.
The video conference is browser based and requires no special software. It can be done on any device with: internet browser, camera, and microphone/speaker (e.g. smartphone, tablet, laptops). Also, a Video conference/telemedicine appointment can be done in a private office at Weber and Devers PC with our equipment.
If standardized testing is necessary, we are able to reduce in person contact by only having office visits for testing as required. Also, certain diagnostic tools can be mailed to you, completed at home and returned to the office.
As necessary, in person therapy sessions will be considered on a case by case basis.
Please call (906) 635-7270 to learn about our new telemedicine option and make new appointments. Our office support staff are happy to help you and will be available by phone Tuesday through Thursdays from 8:00am – 5:00pm.
