We are excited to announce that we have a new in office treatment for Dry Eye Disease: Low Level Light Therapy (LLLT)!

What is it?
🔴LLLT is a non-invasive treatment that uses soothing red light energy to improve the function of the Meibomian glands. It helps restore natural tear balance, reduce inflammation, and improve long-term eye comfort.

How does it work?
🔴Gentle light is applied to the skin around your eyes for 15 minutes. The light melts blocked oils and stimulates natural healing. It is a painless, and relaxing treatment option.

Who can it help?
🔴LLLT helps patients with dry eyes, burning or watery eyes, eyelid irritation, or Meibomian Gland Dysfunction (MGD). It can also be beneficial for patients with rosacea, & blepharitis.

I'm just trying to cook dinner, why am I crying? 😭

Onions contain a sulfur compound that is damaged and released into the air when cut. The compound mixes with enzymes already in the air creating a gas called syn-propanethial-S-oxide (SPSO). This gas is irritating to the eyes, which triggers the tear glands to produce tears to help wash away the SPSO, resulting in the "crying".
