We may forget that everyday items can end up causing more harm than good.

Always wear safety eyewear when using tools and when working outdoors with things such as chainsaws and w**d whippers.

Use household cleaners and sprays as directed to avoid contact with the eyes.

March is workplace eye safety month. With more than 700,000 Americans injure their eyes at work annually, with the common causes being small particles, metal slivers, and chemical burns.

Make sure you're using safety glasses, goggles, or face shields if you will be working with tools, chemicals, or in areas with airborne particles.
