It’s easy to be our own worst critic, sometimes. Social media can make it easy to compare ourselves to people and moments that likely aren’t even real. This year…let’s acknowledge how beautiful we are in our own skin, and everything our skin does for us.

In the midst of a tough week for downtown, we celebrated a HUGE day at Prim🥹🤍

We are now the first practice in the state of Michigan to offer newest laser device: TRIBRID🔱

This means we are now able to offer Sciton’s most popular laser treatments (BBL, Moxi, and Halo)…but made even better with new technology🩷💜💙

We will be training this week, and we plan on doing a whole Facebook Live education series on what this machine can do, and who it’s for

(Spoiler: it’s everyone😇)

This still very much feels like a *pinch me* moment. As a provider…having a device like this will completely change the results I’m able to provide for all of you.

Grateful is such a vast understatement🤍 I can’t wait for LASER SZN to begin at Prim🥳

The More You Know💡 If you’re only utilizing injectables and not treating your skin…you’ll come up short on what your results COULD be. And we don’t want that.

Why Resurfacing Modalities Will Always Matter (yes, even if you get Botox & filler) :

Bear with our super simplified anatomy lesson for a second. This is the outer most layer of your skin, the epidermis. Within the epidermis itself there are several layers. The freshest, newest, shiniest of those cells lie a few rows down. But the stratum corneum is right on top which consists of dead, dry, mattifying cells - not the cutest. 🙃 Many people complain of a dullness to their skin when these cells are able to accumulate. Our skin gets lazy when it’s not called on.

Here’s how to pump up the glow:

When you exfoliate or remove some of that dead stratum corneum, your skin calls down to the basale layer stem cells saying “We got a situation here - make us some new stuff!” And your skin answers. Because it’s very smart. 😎

How to holler at your Stratum basale:

Physical exfoliants: like ZO exfoliating polish
Chemical exfoliants: like ZO exfoliation accelerator, AHAs, chemical peels
Vitamin A derivatives: like tretinoin or retinols
Mechanical stimulation: like with microneedling, light, & lasers
