What makes me different?

Often where you feel pain isn't where the pain is coming from. To truly fix muscle tension, I look at the whole picture...

There are 21 muscles on either side of you that contribute to moving your neck, each of them working ipsilaterally and contralaterally to rotate, flex, extend, laterally flex, shake, and nod your head.

Each of them working to gaze up at the stars, look down at pretty flowers, rock out to your favorite band, and to look over your shoulder when you're about to change lanes on the highway.

Within these muscles, you also have your esophogas, your throat, and so many nerves.

Energetically, your neck is where your voice originates. It's the first pathway of breath, and it's the starting point of vibration when you belt out a giant "ooommmm" during a yoga class.

It's the area that tightens up when you can't talk, where you hide with a tuck of the chin when you feel shame, or, on the other hand, that opens up when you radiate confidence (think, keeping your chin up and your shoulders back).

The neck tells such a story. Your story.

And when whiplash happens, all these 21 (x2) muscles get jumbled, now operating out of harmony, radiating pain patterns into the head, the shoulders, and all around the neck and back.

When harmony is lost here, it can feel like your whole system is out of sync, both physically and energetically.

That’s why I take such care when working with neck injuries like whiplash. It’s not just about relieving tension. It’s about restoring connection, voice, breath, and trust in your own body again.

Your neck holds more than just your head. It holds your story.

Have you ever noticed how much your neck holds.. for better or worse?

Headaches are no joke....

Did you know that nearly 80% of people will deal with them at some point in life?

And let’s be real—pain in the head and neck tends to be much harder to push through than pain elsewhere in the body.

So, what causes them?
👉 Stress
👉 Muscle tension
👉 Life doing "life" things
(and often, all of that at the same time).

Tightness in the shoulders, upper back, and neck can tug on the base of your skull, creating that dull ache or throbbing pain that’s hard to ignore. Posture, screen time, old injuries, or even just daily habits can all play a role. As can so many other things, but I'll spare the long lecture.

💆‍♀️ Here’s where massage comes in:
I release the tight muscles pulling on your head and help restore balance in the muscle groups that aren’t working together the way they should. When everything’s back in harmony, that constant pulling eases—and relief follows.

If headaches have been getting in the way of your days, massage may be the missing piece.

Ever heard "drink extra water after a massage"? Should you really? It's a hot debate topic
