We are excited to announce Centers for Disease Control has issued new guidance that relaxes visitation restrictions. Outdoor visits are encouraged but we can now allow scheduled indoor visits if preferred. While the previous guidance focused on protecting nursing home residents from Covid-19, the separation of residents from their loved ones has taken an emotional toll on them. We are very proud of the care we have given to your loved one and the protection we have maintained from the Covid virus. We ask that you please help us further protect everyone by refraining from visiting if you have symptoms of Covid or other communicable illness or if you have been in contact with anyone suspected of or having been diagnosed with Covid. Listed below is information regarding the changes. Thank you so much for your patience and understanding during this trying time for everyone. We look forward to seeing you soon.

Visitation Schedule: Monday thru Friday 1pm-6pm. Last visit will be scheduled at 5:30.( we will be adding weekends soon). Visits are for 30 minutes.

Guidance: (Patio visits are encouraged by CDC)

Only 2 visitors per resident. Visitors do not have to be Covid tested or vaccinated.

All residents are permitted to have indoor visitation(regardless of vaccination status) unless they are positive for Covid or are in quarantine. There are three visiting areas, sensory room, front lobby and back patio. Three families visit at one time in facility.

All visitors will be screened for signs/symptoms of Covid. Denial of entry of anyone with signs or symptoms or those who have had close contact with someone with Covid within 14 days of visit.

Vaccinated residents may choose to touch visitors, however unvaccinated residents must maintain social distancing and are not allowed to touch visitors.

Visitors cannot come in contact with other residents or staff members.

Close fitting face covering or mask is required for resident and visitor(s). Mask must cover nose and mouth.

Unvaccinated residents may have socially distancing visits unless county Covid rate is above 10% and less than 70% of residents in facility are fully vaccinated.

No patio visits during smoking times.

Hand hygiene before and after visit. (Alcohol sanitizer is preferred)

Visits for residents who share a room should not be conducted in resident’s room, if possible.

Visitors who do not adhere to guidelines should not be permitted to visit or should be asked to leave.

Compassionate care visits can be conducted by an individual that meets the resident’s needs, such as clergy or lay persons offering religious and spiritual support. Compassionate care visits will be scheduled on a case-by-case basis.

We’re excited to announce that we will be scheduling appointments for inside supervised visits in the lobby starting Monday February 15th. Visits will be available on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 3p-6p and every third Saturday from 12p-3p only. At this time we are only allowing one visit per resident per week. Please see requirements below to be able to visit inside facility. If requirements cannot be met, you may still continue to visit through the outside windows.

1. One visit per resident per week. This will allow all residents time for a visit. Only two people can visit at a time per resident for a maximum of 20 minutes per visit.
2. Everyone who wants to visit inside the facility must be Covid tested and have a negative result within 3 days of scheduled visit. These Covid tests will not be provided by the facility. You cannot use the same test results for multiple visits.
3. An Indoor visitation policy will be given to each visitor and must be signed prior to visit.
4. You must have no physical contact with resident. You must stay at least 6 feet apart from resident and wear a mask at all times during visit. Surgical masks will be provided by the facility if needed. Children are allowed to visit but they also have to have a negative Covid test and be able to understand they have to wear a mask at all times.
5. Visitors will be screened at the door prior to visit. You will not be able to visit if you have had any known contact with anyone Covid positive or have had Covid 14 days prior to visit or if you’re having any Covid symptoms which includes shortness of breath, fever, chills, cough, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion, runny nose, nausea, vomiting and/or diarrhea.

We take great pride in having only one known Covid positive resident since July of 2020. Our resident’s safety continues to be our number one concern. We appreciate all of you for your continued understanding. I also need to mention that inside visitation is subject to change according to the results of the facility weekly Covid testing.

ATTENTION: All employees and residents have been tested for Covid-19. All test that we have received have come back negative.
We’ve had a lot of questions regarding visitation. Recently Governor Bill Lee has given permission for limited visitation in long term care facilities and nursing homes. Park Rest is working on a plan to ensure that certain prerequisites and guidelines are met. We will be contacting each resident’s family as soon as the criteria is set in place.
We want to express our appreciation and say thank you to all of the resident’s family and friends for your continued understanding throughout this difficult time.

We are not allowing visitors at this time in an effort to keep our residents safe. Thank you for understanding.
