Today wasn't about filling freezers, but more about the quality time spent together with family and friends. The morning saw my marina neighbor, Dan, his son, and his son's friend. Dan's son is flying the coop and he wanted to spend another fishing trip before he went off.

The afternoon was Mr. Ken, his wife and their other two friends that wanted to chase some reds and have fun while doing it. Mission accomplished.

Both trips utilized Bubba Gumbo's "bring your own catch" services to enjoy their catch as fresh as possible!!! Come catch lunch with us!

When you get a text from a great local client wanting to go out and have a repeat of a great day like last time, the pressure is on. After the first 10 minutes of fishing, the fiah started flying over the rail and all the pressure was lifted. It was less than ideal conditions yesterday. Foggy, misty, and a bit breezy out of the north. My friend Steve said "let's go, we'll catch something!". We set out with high hopes and realistic expectations. The bite was steady, and a few keepers came home with us!! This red hit a mud minnow and gave him the fight he was looking for! The next 4 days forecast is not looking great, fingers crossed that storm gets on outta here!!

We'll do a lot, but catfish you is never it!!! We're looking forward to the Fall and, from the amount of pup reds we've been catching, it's oughta be a great one!!! We are looking ahead to the winter time and chasing some sheepshead nearshore. Go ahead and get a few folks together and make a plan to come chase some!!
