Sensory overload is real 💙

For many individuals on the autism spectrum, everyday environments can feel overwhelming. Bright lights, loud sounds, and busy spaces can quickly become too much for the nervous system to process.

What may look like a meltdown is often a response to sensory overload, not a choice or behavior to “fix.”

Autism acceptance means recognizing these experiences, responding with patience, and creating supportive environments that reduce overwhelm. Small changes can make a big difference.
