Friendly Reminder: Please take a moment today to check your pet’s medications. Make sure you have enough on hand to make it through Thursday, as we will be closed. If you’re running low, submit a refill request as soon as possible. This gives our team plenty of time to prepare your pet’s prescription. You can text or call us at 912-352-3081.

As we head into holiday food production days, remember: our furry friends will be watching, too! If you know or even suspect that your pet has ingested something they shouldn’t have, contact your veterinarian immediately.

In Georgia, veterinarians must contact the poison control hotline for any potential toxin exposure, so reaching out quickly helps us take action fast.
When it comes to toxic exposures, time is critical — quick action can drastically change the treatment plan and outcome. We can be reached at 912-352-3081.

Just a reminder that we will be closed on Thursday, November 27th and reopen for regular hours on Friday. You can contact the Savannah Veterinary Emergency Clinic at 912-355-6113.dat

Before you leave raw bread dough rising on the counter, know that it can cause a serious emergency for pets.

Raw dough containing yeast continues rising in your pet's stomach—creating a dangerous condition similar to bloat. As the yeast ferments, it produces alcohol, which is toxic to dogs and cats. Even small amounts require immediate veterinary care.

Keep all rising dough in closed microwaves or ovens, not just on elevated surfaces. Pets are surprisingly resourceful when something smells good.

If your pet gets into raw dough, chat with us online or call immediately at 800-213-6680.

This Week’s Moment from the Back: Atlas reminded us just how much trust our patients place in us every day. While waiting for his next step, Atlas was greeted with extra love from CSR Rachel — and he happily gave it right back. 💙

After seeing the heartfelt response to last week’s post, we’re glad to continue sharing more behind-the-scenes moments. These weekly glimpses are our way of showing the gentle, compassionate care your pets experience with our team. We hope that sharing these moments can eliminate a little mystery to pet parents and bring peace of mind. When your pets are with us, we care for them like they are our own. 💙💚
