Before & After | Complex Reconstruction

This patient presented with bulging spinal fusion hardware at risk of exposure due to atrophic skin and prior scarring. Given the compromised soft-tissue envelope, a trapezius muscle flap was performed to provide durable coverage and protect the underlying instrumentation.

The flap restored healthy vascularized tissue over the hardware, reducing the risk of exposure and infection while improving contour and skin integrity.

This patient is just 2 weeks postop after a right breast reconstruction revision with full capsulectomy and placement of a new high-profile implant. To achieve balance and harmony, we also performed a left breast augmentation for symmetry.

She’s healing beautifully with improved shape, softness, and symmetry and still very early in the recovery process. Final results will continue to refine over the coming months.
